Just today me and my dad went to some guys house because we saw a green escort in his paddock and wanted it, we went in and talked to him and turns out he also has a c4 corvette and a model t in his shed, along with an old ford landaur or something. The escorts in worse shape than the one you have here but nothing I can't fix, just waiting for a call back and maybe if I get it fixed quick my first car won't be a Toyota Yaris lol.
I would have arched it and cut the bulkhead to leave more engine room. Nice build though along with the colour. 👍
mk2's look better unarched unless its full grp4 spec with a proper millington diamond in and a quaife 6 speed sequential in then you can run 10 inch wide wheels and arches lol

Does anybody know why is the rear suspension asimetrical?
its a whatss linkage kit and doesnt need to be symetrical. it stops the side to side play of the axle and the bars from the axle going forward are symetrical and are four link rods to stop the twist in the axle. the car has been turreted and has upright suspension instead of the standard 45 degree angle suspension for better travel and less stress on the suspension. this is the best setup for a mk2 escort (except for the english axle , should be atlas axle as it can withstand more power) to stop shocks and half shafts breaking
