Those could have been exactly my words, I couldn't have described the current situation better. I really like this watch, but I also really liked the other Yachtmaster with the blue dial.
The watch world has changed so rapidly over the past few years. It’s all about being able to adapt.
Blue dial would be more appropriate to start with. The rose Oysterflex is a bloody good watch, but probably not as the only or main watch.
Good commentary. I got my sub last year before the price hike because I persisted by showing earnestness, genuine interest in keeping the watch and not flipping and just being patient. I did buy a $100 Casio to establish a purchase history, so no big sacrifice

Exactly that. 4 years ago you might have been buying into an undesirable watch that you knew you’d lose money on. This year, you are looking at the grail watch! Interesting times for watch collectors.
