    What did you use on the back of the seashell. It looks like it was glazed. Thank you. I just learned a lot

    How would I go about glazing and firing if I don't have a kiln? Are there businesses that will perform that service?

    • @GareInc

      Hi Ann! You would either have to own a kiln or know somebody that has one. Not sure if there are any schools or businesses that would give you access. Thanks for watching!

      Hi Liliana! Thanks for watching! We have never tried it, but we always suggest if you do give it a try to use a test tile 1st - this way you can make sure it yields the results you are looking for and if not, you didn't compromise you project piece.

      @@GareInc oh thank you so much! i Will! so this is underglaze?

    • @GareInc
      @GareInc  Před 2 lety

      @@lilianacadete3921 It's an undercoat for bisque. We dip it in clear glaze before firing; however, if you put at least 4 coats on, you don't have to dip it and it will still be glossy. :)

    Is that glaze or underglaze?

    And one coat is sufficient?

    • @GareInc
      @GareInc  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes - thanks for watching! It get's poured on so one coat is enough. It's like getting multiple coats at one time.
