    Hey give it a try with concrete drain pipes. Use them as base to curle the steamed planks.

    that's pretty cool. however, as the two dudes were pushing down on it in the center while it was being leaned on by the people on either end, all I could think was: "nice safety goggles." Maybe this means that I'm and old man now, but a 2" splinter through the eye would seriously mess up your day.

    interesting bend, successful in the end, though giggling/jiggling girls in a workshop make me nervous & fearful of injury, after all; you're dealing with some serious forces. Question: what species of wood was that? Oh, and like others have mentioned; would also like to see the finish project. All and all; well done.

    I enjoyed the video. It looked like it took effort. I am disappointed that I watched it and had no idea what it was. If it was art or a piece for something in the future or what. Any way good job.

    Awsome!
    May i ask,!? for how long time did you cook that wood? and for how long did you hold that wood bended?

    • @AhmedAhmedMahdy
      @AhmedAhmedMahdy Před 7 lety

      Yaser Feyli
      for how long steaming as i learned from other videos is two hours and it depends on the amount of the steam and the type and the size of the wood
      for how long you holding it after cooking I totally ignore that... I think till you feel it's done

    This is amazing. I'm a fine art student and super keen to bend my own wood. Can I ask how long you steamed this wood for? Also what type of wood were you using?

    • @Dressommer
      @Dressommer Před 10 lety

      On different woodworking sites and forums, you can find measurements for how long you will need to steam something in correlation with the materials thickness. The thickness and the type of wood, is really important. :)

    What kind of wood did you use and how much time was it kept in boiling?

    • @Sho81
      @Sho81 Před 9 lety

      +Raphael Crespo don't know how long they steamed it for but it is recommended to steam for 1 hour per inch of wood. And advised to pre-soak the wood a day before steaming.
