- Finally got a seal on the cylinder block with Rocol steam seal.
This is the 3rd firing as a test small issue with the oil pump and valve timing good for reverse but needs adjusting better for forwards.
Thanks to my wife for filming, i was the one stressed pumping water and chucking coal in. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
That’s beautiful!
Excellent work
Lovely engine! Is this the 1” scale model? Many thanks.
Yes, correct
Thank-you, you can see by my other videos it's constantly improving by each run, some new parts some just modified to improve performance. The aim is for its size a very powerful engine.
I’m building the Allchin at the moment, first air test is on you tube 😉
@@derekblake9385 very nice I like the allchin ive got the build book, very smooth. Good work
@@novagsi0 how and where did you put your whistle on the cylinder block? And your water pump feed?
I have noticed how slowly yours runs almost to tick over speed yet mine stops when you try to run her real slow.
Why is this?
Looks like i was adjusting the cut off to reduce the valve opening that makes it run slower and use less steam. Other than that its had lot of running in.
@@novagsi0 Well I put some more notches in my reverser and I tried reducing the cut off and it wouldn't like it and just stopped. I think it might be the build quality of the engine as the valve timing was all set up properly and has never run at tick over.
I did make the eccentrics a couple of times before i got the valves to fully open so it now has a lot more power one of my video demonstrates how much blast from the exhaust it produces.
What coal are you using in the video?
Probably house coal, Columbian works the best.
@@novagsi0 Yes I have some of the Columbian house coal and it's good stuff. What's your favourite coal for the Minnie?
@@mattseymour8637 The house coal or any free coal. Lol anything that smokes.
@@novagsi0 You like me I like a bit of smoke! I like the soft Welsh dry steam coal as burns easy and doesn't take much draft
Crankshaft pump not working??
When its been running for a couple of hours, it can stop due to heat. Also when running hard i prefer the hand pump as a quick way of topping the boiler up. Still a nervous fireman.
@@novagsi0 I've had a 1" minnie before, I know that feeling
@@charleskendall6401 Yes I find on my Minnie the mechanical water pump doesn't always work very efficiently due to the small scale hence why I put a hand pump on the engine.
Поделиться чертежами. Можешь ?
You would need to purchase the Minnie Construction book and the drawings are in there. Book by L C Mason.
Where have you put your water pump pipe to in the boiler?
Into the gland where the blow down valve is meant to be.
@@novagsi0 OK thanks is there anywhere else you can input into the boiler? What Fittings did you use?
