0:31 - マスタ/masuta(master) ー This is what they call the person who runs a bar and other establishments. It comes more into play with a barkeeper since we're always trying to get their attention for drinks. I wanted to try to keep the vibe so I want with Barkeep instead of Roberu.
1:44 - キープ/kiipu(keep) - So, this is actually a really common word in Japanese that has all kinds of meanings. In this case, it means to keep a back-up boyfriend or girlfriend in case the other one doesn't work out.
2:34 - I almost made this "you wot" because it actually fits the meaning of his "A-?"
4:15 - Lack of subject means it's not clear if she means "He should" or "You should"(as in directly speaking to the listener) but based on what Roberu says afterwards, I felt that talking directly was the better option
6:13 - 思うがまま"omou ga mama" - Basically means to do as you please, to get your way, do whatever you want, based on the context of her manipulating and getting away with stuff, I thought the cake line fit
7:42 - Just to collate this whole tall tale into one spot: Instead of being on the main road that leads to where they were meeting for their 3D collab, she went on an adjacent street(to not be seen) and when she got close, turned into a little side street that led to the road she needed to be on. Right before turning the corner that met the road she needed to be on, she broke into a sprint as if she had been running the whole time. She then pretended to be looking frantically for the place, ran past the person she clocked as the manager to seem like she was really frantic, and acted like she had been running for 500m instead of 100m. To try and get sympathy.
8:20 - TL ERROR: She was asking how many kilometers the girl had to run to be 2-6 hours late (she's playing off how she ran 100m and I caught the sarcasm in the wrong direction)
10:15 - He actually only says the part about the partner, with the bit about "ourselves" being implied, but it sounded way too harsh in English, so I added that context

@@unlimitedquickworks7387I can't quite parse what you said in your quote, but basically 浮気して、気づいた is "I cheated and then realized"(that I was cheating after the fact). I had to make it sound a bit more natural in English. And then the やっぱ more or less confirms that she's referring to herself. So, full context included, it's like, "I cheated on you, but I only realized it was cheating after I did it. And after having done it, I realize that you're actually the one I love, not the other guy" But that's way too long for subtitles unfortunately

Roberu's thoughts line up with mine as well. There isn't anything wrong with being a bit selfish and trying to find enjoyment for yourself. Within a relationship, you'd want an equal share of happiness right? Living purely for the sake of someone else's happiness, and nothing for yours doesn't sound like living. Just sounds like suffering.

@@Marmalademan2 That's not obsession really, if he is really obsessive he is gonna do two things only depending whether he is a good guy or not.
Good Guy: Forgive her without second thoughts and will not ask for advice etc.
Bad Guy: Control her and sometimes it will involve some physical stuff.
As lqfr88 said that woman knows the guy is seriously in love with her and is just wrapping him around her finger, the guy is just probably just a side fling aka a walking wallet for her let's be honest, and any woman who test a man like that like make him wait 6hrs for a date etc is just a narcissist sociopath she's probably a good looking woman hence many men put her in pedestal hence the ego.
Another possibility is that the guy somewhere in the back of his brain may have thoughts that if he leaves this girl he may have difficulty finding another one, so he wants to keep the girl as much as he possibly can. So he puts up with what can only be generously described as "abuse" from her because he fears losing her.

I cut it off after one month because I genuinely didn't like her but the fact is he's been at this for 5 months which means she's doing SOMETHING right for him. I know a guy that's in the same situation he kept forgiving the girl even though she left him for another guy in front of his face DURING a concert where the guy paid for everything. ALL of us told him to just dump her permanently like cut off all contacts and move on (he even had a new girlfriend that all of us liked more) but unfortunately he's stubborn as a bull for all the wrong reasons and still went back to her when she came crawling back
There was the woman I dated with an absolutely dream body. She was an 11/10 and the type of girl even the worst of playboys could probably never cheat on because she was that fine, physically though.
When I met up with her on our first date, she was over 2 hours late. The waitress had starting telling me she wasn't coming and probably not real, and I even started hitting it off with her instead lol. They were suggesting I give up on my date but I stuck it out.
After 2 hours in walks this incredibly gorgeous woman. My date didn't look very concerned she was late, and said "Eh, I just fell asleep and needed to get ready. She was fun, but really wild for that time and every time we hooked up after.
She was always at least half an hour late to every date after and eventually wanted to live with me, but I decided to break up and pursue someone that actually cared to give back. I don't regret it, regardless of how fine she was.

Recently seen this hit a girl who keeps returning to a guy who's poor, older than her, has a kid, physically abusive, and no looks. By all means, the logic should just be to get outta that, but people get blindsided by the decent moments.
In life it's normal to have the shit moments outweigh the good ones, but when it comes to love you tend to really let those good moments blind you from the terrible ones, and only until you really take a step back do you realize how bad it really is/was.
Poor guy loves her, but he has to realize she doesn't love him. If he's already feeling like he's an extra option and knows she's cheating, this is a very clear sign to leave, how he wants to do it is up to him.
If he does it trashy or tells her parents, no room for her to judge, she has no room to feel disrespected.
If he wants to walk out and never respond that is just as equally a strong response to not even give her attention.
Cheaters rarely or never change, and it will be very unlikely they will change for the one they cheated on.

Trust is the one necessary ingredient to a mutually happy and successful relationship, and it seems like that guy's trust would forever be challenged in that relationship. If she's always late and he always worries about her talking to someone else again, there's honestly no road to patching up that trust. It's not just about learning to prioritize your own happiness; resentment will build over time and it won't be mentally or emotionally sustainable. Much luck to that poor fella, his adoration and affections seem to be wasted on someone not truly deserving of it.

A bit of an added perspective: making your partner happy IS important in a relationship, but it’s a two way street - a give and take. If you’re giving but the other is only taking, that’s not an equal relationship. It can be hard to see this when you’re in love but if you’re putting everything into making it work but the other isn’t reciprocating, then that’s a real problem.
If it is a matter of your love for their looks, a presence of attraction in their appeal, that will never end well, cause with those same looks, they can do whatever they want wrapping you around their finger. That is why personallity is better sought out, taking from each other's time to accumulate interest overtime thus making a connection, and keeping things interesting, 2-6 hour tardiness on the first date should automatically tell you, "Heh, so... I am not worth your time huh?" and anything else she says is just honey words to get you to burn more of your time and resources. If it WERE an emergency she would have contacted you about it several minutes prior to the emergency, but that doesnt' happen often at all. Just toss her.

@@TheMan21892 The country I'm living in has a problem with so-called "Passion Killings" where a jilted lover (often a man) would for whatever reason snap and kill/atttempt to kill their partner and their children, then off themselves afterwards.
A lot of the time, because everyone involved was offed and the families (or survivors) tend to not say anything, the reasons can only be speculated. However, every so often, a survivor of the incident (whether a victim or the killer) does reveal something, and it tends to either be a domestic situation gone COMPLETELY off the rails or the victim was thought to be cheating.
Man I feel bad for the guy. Although the fact that he is so forgiving to the point of disregarding all the red flags is one of his faults, the girl who keeps doing these things even after being forgiven is the worst.
Something that's really telling about this message is that he doesn't include any redeeming qualities about his girlfriend. No justifications, no excuses, no explanations. Nothing about why he loves her or all the things she does for him. He doesn't say give her benefit of the doubt by saying he's too harsh, judgemental, or not understanding enough. In fact he shares suspicions that he's just backup for her.
He isn't weighing the good and the bad, he's collecting evidence and building a case. This is a man who knows his relationship is bad and he's looking for outside confirmation.
Also: 2-6 HOURS?? Only TWO dates out of 40 were on time? That's a minimum of 80 hours of your life wasted waiting for someone else to show up. Only 5% of the dates were on time. That alone would prompt me to have a serious conversation about whether someone values my time.
