In our street we do and if someone is going away they let the next door neighbour know and for how long but it isnt a thru street and we all bought our homes a few years apart .If you need help its not unheard of to actually do it .Our neighbours wife was rushed into hospital during the night but a little note was put through the letterbox .It was very serious and he didnt get time to mow his lawn so we all chipped in so he didnt have that job to do .This always happens but then we were all born in the UK and everyones families went to local primary schools we all buy wedding presents for kids getting married and the few grandchildren that have been born .I didnt realise we are so strange but then we dont live in a large city either .

It sounds like they are both adult females . Very sad .
So so sad that this terrible thing has happened and 2 women, mother and daughter have lost their lives and not discovered for such a long time. May they rest in peace and anyone responsible is brought to justice
It sounds like it could be carbon monoxide poisoning or maybe a elderly lady and disabled adult daughter .
The news would have said they were murdered .
It's very sad though . But there's clearly no community there . Why didn't the neighbours on either side notice that .they haven't seen ie heard them ,for months . The garden may have always looked over grown . As for that man he can say its shocking and the neighbourhood are on high alert yet HE hasn't called in a welfare check at all .

Bradford Huddersfield and from what you’ve said Middlesbrough in the North East but it’s very easy to avoid them areas. In the midlands and South East it’s everywhere.

Because I have a illness that keeps me housebound for months at a time it's normal I don't get seen . If not for my hubby going out everyday if I lived alone I'd be there for god knows how long .

The neighbour heard someone crying in the early hours around Christmas that lasted for hours probably the mother was taken ill and the disabled daughter could do nothing Seems no one was concerned until months later

Think anf feel it was, probaly, a suicide, pact. The mother or daughter was probably terminaly ill. The other could not carry on withoit them So.. But very sad.
