As an Australian, this stunning house house was built before Capt Cook landed in this country. We get excited about a house that’s 120 years old. Absolutely stunning.
Now this is EVERYTHING. Modern, high class, clean decor in a a classic grade 2 listed house...what a dream.
I am a 75 year old Senior in the U.S. This house ( mansion) is the stuff dreams are made of. Absolutely exquisite, amazing and then the other adjectives do you need to describe this wonderful property.
This is so lovely. Style is perfect and finally a decent kitchen in these expensive homes. Quality of fittings is outstanding.
Considering what you get for the money, it's not expensive. A cottage in the English countryside costs half a million. 😏
This is the most beautiful property you have ever toured- I keep coming back to watch it again and again!
In the children's room, you pointed out the top edge of what you called wood paneling, this is in fact a "dado rail", it's function is to protect the walls by preventing furniture (mainly chairs) from being pushed up against them. Dado rails are found in most rooms of houses of the period.
2 MILL! Bargain for this beauty. I wouldn't have choose those radiators though...

Anthony P Because you don't lift original, hand sawn, wide (and probably oak) floorboards unless you absolutely must. Also, this place with its solid, uninsulated walls and large, single glazed original windows may well require more heat than underfloor heating can reasonably supply, especially when large areas are covered with rugs etc.

Beautiful family home and great value at £2m for the largest portion of the original house. That master bedroom was simply stunning and that cornice work in there, really fantastic. Just my view but you might want to edit out where the owners safe is located.
This house is in the top 2 I seen from you guys. So grand and spacious, it's a rare case of the inside being much bigger than how it looks on the outside [not that it looks small outside either]

@@TheKh65 I agree. Looks £500k-£750k too low. I looked at the Fine & Country brochure and couldn't work out the catch. I was half expecting to see a motorway at the end of the garden or something.
@@TheKh65 I think it's part of a larger house. Look at the floorplan versus the house on google maps. And from the brochure " forms part of the original
18th Century Blunham House". This explains it.

What a spectacular home! I'd take this over a London apartment any day!!! I'd need to do something about wardrobe space for the master bedroom, but everything else is perfect!

A lot of thought has obviously gone into renovating this property, and the quality of the renovation certainly shines through. On the whole I like the property. The entrance, kitchen and bathroom in the master bedroom certainly have the wow factor. I love the solid wood floors too.
The echo because of the lack of soft furnishings is very noticeable and makes it feel quite cold. Having a utility room with the noise of washing machine and dryer right next to the front door where you’d greet guests isn’t ideal and I’d prefer to see fittings for two washing machines and two dryers. As someone else has mentioned, where is the walk in wardrobe for the master bedroom?

This is a beautiful house, it flows and just a place to spend Christmas with the entire family.( Obviously nthe cleaning bill after is always a consideration)
Beautiful interiors.. shame about that window being removed on the front top floor to the right.. it throws off the whole frontage of the home for me and spoils the grandeur unfortunately
Exactly what I thought
the reason why the windows are blocked is that around the 1800s there was a window tax so people would brick up their windows, I'm not sure why they didn't break it down and replace it with a new window
That blocked off window would have been to the left of the bed in the master bedroom. It would have looked "off balance" in the room, with the next window aperture on the front opening to the entrance hall on the second level. My preference would be to open the window and let more light into the bedroom at the expense of symmetry.
Absolutely beautiful refined tasteful home. Great value for money. Wonderful young couple showing the property, they have respect for the property & a very good understanding of archecture. I love also their personal unassuming classical dress, youthful, stylish but respectful for the presentation. Bravo I'm delighted to have discovered your video program here on utube, I'm in New Zealand.

It could be more amazing if they added some soft furnishings and a bit less cold for a country house. Also the garden could be a lot better, and would help the sale,first impressions and all that!!

I normally say the properties are valued at more than you would expect but on this occasion, I have to say that is a lot of house and land for the money. You could hear the size of the rooms when Summer was speaking, there was almost an echo. Stunning property and great review again.
Beautiful staircase, love the rise of it. Probably for lady’s in the dress of the day. They probably had to leave the radiators because it is a Grade II listed home. That’s a long walk to the master bath from the bed. Totally amazed at the curved door!
Prefer a country home. I could always go to London.

A friend of mine comes from a noble family. They're still living in the family castle. The housefather's an event manager by trade and indeed hosts weddings in and on their property. :D
