This is straight up misinformation, if you read WuWa's lead Dev Unreal Engine interview, they literally said, we hope to upgrade from UE4 to UE5.4 to improve performance for mobile. Literally from the source. The only reason they didn't use UE4 is because the devs lacked experience with it.
Game does looks good. Knowing that this is a different team than ToF's makes me feel better about giving it a shot for sure so I'll be giving it a shot.

Tof development team is working in this team....if you are an active tof player you will see they tested all of these features in tof first and they make improvements in later patches so don't believe doom posters fixated on early patches vs it's current patches. Tof is NTE "beta" so that's why it doesn't eos

Sadly, seeing the animation, cooldown and duration timer that pops up after it's activated, it would appear to be a character specific skill rather than a universal mechanic.

To me it looked technically impressive: the seamless interiors, the night time "wet" reflections and, most of all, the "combat zone" map transformations. Also, ceiling running - where to go from here? =)
On the personal esthetics front it felt somewhat sterile and lacking in personality, but that is something that can easily change at release with first hand experience.
I'll definitely try it at launch and check for myself, but Mugen still looks more interesting somehow.

Wuwa and ZZZ corrupted my view of character design, I can't see the playable characters as a part of the world because of how unique they look unlike the npc character. The playable characters look amazing but the npc is just too bland. I blame Wuwa and ZZZ lmao.

I'm just talking about being able to blend the playable characters to the NPCs, I'm not trying to compare which one has the best NPC.
NPC's in Genshin and this game, compared to the playable characters certainly do bring to mind the phrase "Careful, the Stand User could be anyone!"

I wonder if Enemy Encounter is Fixed or at Random, It will be so damn cool if its Random. Rare Encounter on a Boss Fight in the middle of the City will be an insane unique feature.

Wall running didn't look seamless. They activated something, used an item, or some shit idk. Also couldn't tell if there was a time limit on wall running (Cat girl yeeted herself) but I do agree that not using stamina on dashing/sprinting/wall running does seem nice. The wait begins.
@@Normadus Looking at the animations and the cooldown and duration timer that activates with it, it's unfortunately almost certainly a skill tied specifically to that one character. Meaning unless they take our excitement for it, change her kit, and turn it into something like WuWa's grapple - able to be turned on and off on any character - it's gonna' be a case of having that Genshin style exploration team rather than a permanent mechanic.

Wuwa's unlimited sprint, parkour, and wall running really help for fast exploration i hope any future open world gacha would have this system

from street to interior of shops to skyscrapers to elevators to apartments back to street to cars to dungeon instances and not *one* loading screen. that's the most impressive thing about this whole trailer, so kudos and applause to Hotta.

That gameplay video is pretty slick. Grand Theft Gacha with a supernatural angle looks pretty compelling. If Hotta learned from the missteps and issues with ToF, it could be a good game.

WuWa will just add all the features to the gourd lol, ppl dont see that the grapple is feature of the gourd and the urban exploration is easily addable in WuWa with the next big region lol

A true open world. No loading screens. Question is.... What about the optimization and phone requirements?
Well, I have no problems with the phone/pc requirements anyway.
The city doesn't look too good from far away. We need more clouds, maybe fog and things like that. The graphics need some work, i like characters slightly tilting to the side as they run to the side but the animations need more work. I Just hope that the aspects of the world (like purchasing houses, vehicles, house customization) don't go full pay to win. Character customization, weapons and all of that can stay P2W but if they make P2W those other aspects it will hurt what we can do in the open world, it will be Genshin Impact all over again (as in there is no reason to interact with the cities and the open world)
Finally... ULTRA HIGH GRAPHICS WITH RAY TRACING, NO BALLS!

We can own cars? Holy Poggers! This is good. I might try this whenever it releases. Only concern now is the gacha system & the vividness in cool character designs. Man! Being able to drive a car in an aime style open world RPG is a dream.
Hate to say it, but judging by the animation that plays along with the cooldown and duration timers that appear, the 3D wall-running aspect appears to be a skill tied to that specific character. So unless we really make our excitement about it known, enough to move it from her kit and into some manner of universal equipment item, it's going to be relegated to your Genshin style dedicated exploration team.

I'm sad they're not keeping the character system from ToF where you have your own character and all other characters are just weapons. I know having a character that changes to others when you change weapon is the most common system, but I really hate that.
ToF has by far the best combat system in any gacha, nothing comes close. The skill cap is high if you aren't just whaling. This looks promising.

You know i think because this game uses UR5 so its going to have alot of potential for upgrading to version 5+ in the future ( yea easy implementation with RT/ lumen for more vibrant and fidelity at a cost of FPS ofcourse and upscaling like FSR and DLSS).And i agree the character models and models looks old. But its still a beta they can improve the animation and the movement of the characters. For combat if they at a slowmotion eff when switch it already will look more appealing.
The white haired girl does seem to be MC because if you notice she is the only one to interact with the city like talking to shop owners, driving the car etc

Tbh, if the devs deliver on their first trailer, Project Mugen still looks to be the more interesting urban open world gacha to me, especially when it comes to exploration. Swinging around spiderman style looked so good lol.
The combat in this looked a bit rough, but the concept is definitely there. Of course ill check it out no doubt and judge for myself upon release.

09:30 soo i can already tell about car driving, Hotta needs to work on some good driving physics at an point that even drifting could be possible, such detail can bring even racing fans giving a try and also enjoying this game.

To be honest, I just wish that these games were full games instead but we all know damn well that's not happening and very understandably so, if it weren't to gacha, no studio would have the money to make this massive of a game, under 5 years even. This game looks so beautiful, the world, the visuals, the presentations, all amazing (except overall combat but that's in my different rant so lets put that aside)
But man i just wish that we can just open these beautiful games, and just have fun, no mtx, no paywall, just play.

It looks a lot like the game I wish ZZZ was, so I'm hyped for this. I've really been wanting an urban fantasy open world gacha game like this. Combat looks serviceable to me, somewhere between Genshin Impact and WuWa, so that's good enough for me.
