Over a few themed drinks at the historic Brockington Hall, Fanning and Hoult have agreed to spill the tequila - and vodka, of course - on season 2, which launches Friday and will see Fanning's Catherine grapple with impending motherhood, navigate opposition at seemingly every turn (including from her mother, played by new cast member Gillian Anderson), and finally take the throne from Peter (Hoult). But first, Fanning offers a sage warning about her costar and the interview to follow: "Don't take anything he says seriously."

These two have really good chemistry, not just in the intimate scenes or the tender ones, but in the ones where they are bickering and at each others throats and it really makes the show. Can't imagine who else could have pulled these characters off the way they did
I hated Peter in the first season , though he was obviously hilarious. Seeing how his character interacts with Catherine in season 2 has changed that. They really did a great job at humanizing and softening him just enough to pull the heartstrings so that you're emotionally invested, too. What a fantastic series this has turned out to be.

Elle is such a burst of energy and really takes charge! And nick is so calm and well spoken. Totally diff from what I had expected, but really cool to see such an interesting dynamic..

The way Nicholas portraits the character of Peter is AWESOME. Literally he is so freaking funny. Ofc and the lines are funny but i feel like it's him that puts those funny touches in the character. The movements, the chilfish & innocent looks , the weaknesses , the craziness. In general as you can see i love the complexity of this character. If you ask me it was a pretty surprising character development in S2. Catherine stays superior in S2 too but i can say that in the first episodes her tactics towards Peter were a bit overexaggerated and annoying for me. But we got a happy endingđ†Huzzah to S3 i guess?!
The chemistry between these two is insane. I hope that when The Great ends they continue working together on other projects
We loved it, Elle. Couldn't imagine season 2 topping 1 but it was fantastic. The chemistry between Catherine and Peter is everything. I'm truly sad that I've finished watching season 2. I can't wait for season 3. The show is just brilliant. Acting & writing; just brilliant!

@@amrbasri68 I know you didn't ask me but I also loved the show. Similar dark comedy, satirical and very good shows are Killing Eve, Succession, Fleabag. I also like Stath Lets Flats (definitely have to have a certain type of humour to enjoy, but I think it's very funny) and The Outlaws. Sex Education, This Way Up and Derry Girls are also very good.
@@laurenbisiker3687 State Lets Flats is literal comedy gold and I LOVE that they are actually bother and sister in real life. Green Wing is another great series (much older though) although sometimes the humour goes a little too far.

I just finished watching season 2. Their chemistry is insane! I can't keep my laughter with every Peter's lines! đ€Ł I badly want to watch S3 already but I guess we all have to wait for a while. I love them together so much!

The story may be about Catherine, but Peter makes the show.
I totally agree! đâ€ïž in season 2, When Catherine speaks, itâs almost unbearableâŠher character. But Peter, regardless of his character, being ruthless or loving, heâs able to do it perfectly! Heâs a great actor, but Iâd love to see him in more serious roles to see his other talents.
The show is great đ, they have so much chemistry, they're both hot and also nice. What's not to like? I really didn't expect much from both of them in a show, but that first season made fall in love for them as characters and actors.
