Probably an alternative tip that I would add is extracting the audio from the video clip first before applying the transitions because there are some cases that CapCut messes the audio up that's attached to the video. I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this on the Windows version especially with dealing with glitch transitions. 😂
Also what version of CapCut are you using? It seems like the dubbing feature isn't available on my app, is this a region availability thing? 😅

I kind of like them both for different reasons. I will say that the old ones don't create as much of a shadows on your eyes.

Q&A: What made you decide to move to CapCut for some of your videos? If you still use Adobe premiere that is or not.
I moved from Vegas Pro/movie studio to CapCut after 10 years of using it (had old channels that didn't do well) I moved Vegas but it always crashed on me on playback and exporting took forever for a 1-3 minute edits took like 30 minutes to an hour to export. And I am so glad I am so happy Ioved to CapCut.
I haven't moved to CapCut actually. I'm sharing CapCut tutorials because it's the best app out there for beginners and really for MOST people. It's easy to learn, has amazing features and is capable of beautiful stuff. Because I'm a professional editor, with like 25 years of experience, including 18 years in hollywood, I'm very comfortable in with the pro apps and love the control they give me. Most people don't need it. I'm actually in the process of learning a new pro app, which I LOVE. So far, I like it more than Premiere Pro. Guess which app?
@@TrevorJonescreator I have no idea what app. To be honest. But ah ok. Because you are giving us CapCut editors a better name for ourselves. Because there are some after effects people who don't like CapCut editors. Oh and I use Hitfilm Pro for title card effects in my videos etc.

@@MiaHessMusic Ssssshh! Yes. It's WAY more complicated than CapCut and totally unnecessary for most people but I freaking love it so far. If you LOVE to edit or you wanna make that your thing or you want more control than capcut offers, I think it's the future. I love Premiere, but Davinci kicks it's butt.
The beautiful thing is most of what we learn in CapCut translates over to DaVinci or other pro apps very nicely. CapCut is a great stepping stone.

add text to timeline. make sure it's highlighted. on right select text > template. Type bubble in search bar and BAM!

I'm on a Mac in the USA and I only have 3.8.0 available as of today (May 21, 2024). But AI genereation is found under Text > AI Generated, NOT under Media. Just scroll down to the bottom under Text > AI Generated and you should find the text box - unless they moved it. Which they sometimes do!
Thanks for the info. I was using it the other day in preparation for a workshop and it worked great. Tonight that feature was gone. Embarrassing!!!! Does it still generate pictures or just text?
I just checked. the AI Generated feature only seems to generate text with a description you provide. No pic generation. that sucks!!

You changed the background very well, I didn't see any pixels.
I hope all backgrounds will be like this. Otherwise it will be compulsory to learn Premier Pro in order for me to be in harmony with the background.
@@TalhaCanpolat. I wish all of the features were available in all countries! For a basic program, the background removal is great. It is for sure not perfect, and it won't remove a green screen as well as Premiere or After Effects or Resolve. The background removal is good enough for most CZcams videos, but I would never use it for client work.

@@TalhaCanpolat. If you want to change your background, you want to film against a green screen. There are a lot of videos on how to do that well. You have to light it nearly percectly to remove the green so it looks clean. It also REALLY helps to have a camera that films in the 4:2:2 color space. The iPhone 13 and newer can do that, as can higher end cameras. I have the Sony FX3, which can do that.
I did a test for you and grabbed a green screen clip I filmed. I removed the background in CapCut using the AutoCutout feature. Looked ok, but a black fuzzy line is around the entire image.
I then removed the green with Chroma Key and with minor tweaking it looked really good. Not as good as you could get with a pro app, but VERY usable for CZcams.
If you are going to be doing mostly green screen videos, and you want it to look perfect, get Davinci Resolve, whish is free for the basic version. It is MUCH more complicated than CapCut, but will give you better results for what you're trying to do.

Its NOT perfect and would look better with Premiere or Resolve, but dang good for a simple app like CapCut!
Hey Trev, quick question, I can't find this anywhere. I did the "teleport" thing as a test on my computer and it's SUPER easy thanks to you! I want to trim a little of the video off the front because I left too much before doing the teleport sound effects. When I splice, the video moves over, as does the riser_01but the rest of the sound effects stay in the same spot and don't move with the video. Is there a trick to this? This happens to me all the time, which is a pain if you have 30 minutes of video edited with effects and you want to take 5 seconds off at the start. Thanks!
Type the letter P to turn off the track magnet so it doesn’t automatically move all the clips on the main track when you trim. Trim it. Then select all to slide everything together.

It’s probably possible! But I have never edited a super longform project in CapCut. Da Vinci Resolve, which has a free version, is probably a better choice for longer projects.
Why does my CapCut look different to yours? (And everyone’s on CZcams) is it because I’m in Australia?? 🤔

It is regional. Not all features in all countries.

I think you need to download the free version and get the pro version within the app. But the pro version is only available in some countries right now, so if you don't have the option for the pro version, it's probably not available in your country. I did search for a direct link for the pro version for you, since I'm in the USA, but I could not find a direct link. Sorry!
