Thanks for this Jessica. I’ve noticed that a lot of successful CZcams artists use a lot of very expensive digital aids just to get to the point of the outline drawing. I.E. Projectors, software packages such as photoshop and lightroom, not to mention the digital devices that are needed. I have always used the grid method and my proportional dividers up to now to get the really essential proportions for realism results. This tutorial has been helpful. Can I ask you, and everybody else what technique you use for the slight enlargement and accuracy of the outline drawing. Thankyou.
It's okay if you take hours, you get faster with more consistent practice, and better to be slower and get it right, than to rush it and have it wrong.. I think on average most people can spend an hour or two, and a lot longer for larger sized drawings.

Your method only works if your paper space is the same as the reference photo.
