Sint-Truiden is very beautiful i really enjoyed seeing the city and all of it's shops and places to eat in the city center along with the other nice areas of this beautiful city as well as the magnificent architecture of the buildings but everything was really great here and this is another great city in Belgium, Thank You Sevy.🤠 📹📱📱📹

My family originates from sint-truiden, and i don't live that far off. My only disappointment is that i'm not fluent enough in dutch to visit the city by myself. I used to come once a month when my great grandmother was still alive. I reworked my dutch, but as i don't practice it on a day to day basis (i don't find a lot of relevant dutch content like shows or youtube videos, so i can hear it) i fail to really progress on the long term. I miss the city
I understand that the language barrier can be annoying, but in principle English can also be used in all places, except that the 60+ generation may find it difficult to communicate in english. I am originally from Belgium, but have been living in Finland for several years now and my Finnish is far from perfect, i try to speak as much as possible. No one is stopping you from going, it's up to you 💪
@ScenesBySevy I visited the city several times, but I have a small french accent while speaking English (enough to know I m a wallon). It was actually enough to get into trouble with vb partisans while eating at a restaurant with my father 4 years ago. We probably met the wrong persons, but it taught us that vlanderen was getting less tolerant toward us than before. Really, it was a bad experience. Basically, some vb partisans heard us speaking French while eating, they called us in dutch and since we had trouble answering in a fluent dutch, they got angry and pointed and shouted at us while saying things in dutch we didn't understand. Sure, not all vlams are the same, but it take a small minority to ruin a stay. We have not visited since, and next time, I want to be fluent to avoid this kind of situation.
@@yellowdot7171 Ouch! that is not acceptable, i don't understand why certain people think they are allowed to ruin other people's experience in this way. Those people live in a bubble and don't have the resources to think differently.. I'm sorry to hear that you had to experience that, it was really bad luck that there was that kind, it's the loud minority... not everyone in Flanders is the same, Wallonia is also a great place, during my stay in Belgium i was able to film in Durbuy. I hope you can visit Sint-Truiden or other cities in Flanders again, don't let those people stop you from doing so!
