On the second day we find ourselves in Turkey on the road to Istanbul, but not the main road, many many side roads. Because of a weird glitch in the Turkish way of taking your money we were unable to get an HGS tag to pay our tolls. Frustrated and fed up we went for it, riding dirty through Turkey without paying our tolls. I'm sorry but we tried!

Yup, “haydi” and “hadi” means “let’s go” or “come on” in Turkish as well. Great video!
Thank you :)
In Bulgaria we have too "хайде" (haide), which means the same "let's go". I just start to rewatch the series!
Interesting ride? Love your honesty at the end of the day.👍🏻Working through weather, national & co-rider problems, etc., all add to the character of life. Late once again to “the party” but understand completely what you went through. Carry on. Rola (Oregon / USA).
Finally made it to the trans Eurasia road trip, this is a good one 😁
Awesome journey. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure, glad you're enjoying it 😁
I have been to Istanbul, driving is really crazy
It was but we made it work 😁
brilliant going over the bridge dude. I've been under it but never over it. very nice to see from a different perspective.
The bike seems to be holding up well. keep safe
It was defenetly a highlight, entering another continent.
frumoasa relatare si confesiune. E normal in orice excursie :). Mult spor in continuare!
Jurnal de călătorie, și cu bune și cu rele. Mereu apar neînțelegeri când mai călătorești cu cineva important este cum lucrezi sa le rezolvi ca să iasă totul bine.
Greeks also have "ade" (άντε) with this meaning!!!
Have a nice trip Alex!!!
I did not know that 😁
@@RideWithAlex maybe it's also from Turkish influence.
finally, a new episode😁😁
Unfortunately I am currently pressed for time since I am in Râșnov for X M. A. N. event but from Monday I will have proper time to edit the episodes about 8 or 9 to go :)). But if anyone is in Râșnov they can see Donnie in full adventure gear on the SYM stand and me as well.
@@RideWithAlex Enjoy the event, we'll wait for the episodes (I'm happy that there are still 8-9 to go). Unfortunately I am not in Rasnov, but if you ever come to Valcea let us know haha!
I have been many times Turkey.Usually by plane or bus.And going with that air cooled scooter with no problem.I am really wondering to go with my 125cc too.
Amazing!
Go for it!
@@RideWithAlex
Can I go straight 900 kms without stopping? What do you think?
Thanks in advance!
@@EndritAl I did almost double that so, if your ass is tough enough you can do it :)
@@RideWithAlex Congrats dude. You really deserve a SYM Certificate, for braking some long distance records.
Very good
It's an adventure not a holiday 🛵
I probably would have stayed on the main highway. Great Video Alex 👍
The thing with the main roads, they are faster but sometimes they are kinda boring, the side roads are much more interesting but slower so you have to find the balance to get the distance covered and to not get bored on straight roads.
The problem with that is that you’ve seen one bloody highway you’ve seen them all! It’s the twisties where it’s at...and the cafes bars and restaurants. If you don’t take in the people and their culture what’s the point of the journey? Just go around your own cities ring road all day!
I wish 100 km/h speed is alowed in The Netherlands for scooters so we can drive on the highway.
But on the other side, we are a small country. 😄
I didn't know it's not allowed over 100km/h in The Netherlands :))
@@RideWithAlex in the Netherlands you must have an apart driving licence for a motorcycle and that you may drive 100 k/h.
I have a normal driving licence so I may drive a car or a scooter 50 cc but the problem is the scooters here are limited by law to 50 k/h.
@@MartijnAnwar The 50cc's here are also limited to 50km/h but anything about 50cc is unrestricted but then again for anything over 50cc you need a motorcycle license.
That's what I was waiting for....100 km/h speed on a highway....how did u feel the scooter?!?
It felt ok, could feel it was teaching it's limit but then again it didn't complain, ran without fault.
In Serbia we also say 'hajde', same meaning...
:)))))) it looks like a lot of us in the Balkans have this word.
Mostly becasue you forgot your wallet on the bench at the border. By the way, SYM NHT is still the best motorcycle in the world.
How's the mud? 😂
@@RideWithAlex 1778Km in a day. :)
That's a lot of mud
I am gonna buy NHT200.Thats the best of both worlds.
2.6l/100 km gives you 450 km in full tank.Enough power for highway and everything.
The faster you go, the less you see.
haide is the same in Bulgaria
In Serbia we say Hajde as well :)
Didn't know that :))
@@RideWithAlex Serbian has many Turkish words.
🏍😎♥️
👍
If you did it again would you perhaps progress slower and take in more of the country you’re passing through?
Yea, there's a lot more to see and tbh I would do only Turkey for 2 weeks, it has so much to offer, and then maybe on a different trip Georgia for 1-2 weeks.
so how many km in total? and how the odometer looks on Donnie?
Ended the trip with 23k km on the odometer started at 17k
@@RideWithAlex Very good result on the odometer, but on the... saddle? :)) Any metal feeling? :))
@@lotusds nope, saddle was OK for me, perfectly comfortable.
@@RideWithAlex I'd bet on that, but I was wondering about the saddle opinion after the Iron Butt challenge, if she felt any metal above her! :))))))))))
@@lotusds I have ridden so much on the ST that for the Iron butt the only problem I had was not falling asleep during the night portion of the ride.
What kind of motor does your friend has?

Is your helmet Scorpion exo city?
Yes
@@RideWithAlex I`m planing to buy this model. How are you happy with this helmet regarding the noise and ventilation.Greetings from Serbia.
@@HuzJorDedi I've been using it for 2 years, but with a large windscreen. It's an ope face helmet so don't expect it to be quiet if you don't have a big windscreen on your bike. The kind of windscreen that you never have to close your visor I mean. If you look in my videos my visor is always open.
