Marcus Ericsson really has a habit of finishing on the podium at every Indycar race you cover lol
@The LIM Report 👍
Aussie asf 🇦🇺
Watch Ericsson get a podium every race
I like how the commentators said before the race O’ward is going to be conservative because he wants the championship
He then proceeds to go for kamikaze monourves
Just like Pourchaire in F2
*Maneuver (or manoeuvre if you're British).
Indy commentary is genuinely crap
@@GooseRacing3000 or french, for that matter.
@@GooseRacing3000 im pretty sure that manoeuvre is French and the British started using it as well.

Ya that was definitely o'ward that said that no one else
@@torenthe_expert8977 If you no longer go for a gap *which exists* you are no longer a racing driver - Senna
If you no longer go for a gap that doesn't exist, then you no longer a racing driver.

If you go for a gap that exists you are a racing driver?????
I’m really glad Grosjean had a smart race, but man… I was hoping he ran Newgarden wide in the first turn for his “welcome to Indy car” pay back
Grosjean is like the Joker; he is really smart he just doesn't have the same priorities that normal humans do.
Newgarden let Grosjean wreck himself and did the rest of the field a favor last year. Everyone was fed up with Grosjean’s lack of respectful driving. I’m a fan of the G-man, but it got ridiculous.
So glad you are doing Indy car as well
Please don't stop making these Reviews these are too good
Thank you man!!
Very surprised he didn't get penalized for that incident.
Dumb announcers calling it a racing incident was total bs. If they had penalized him, the 2nd incident wouldn't have happened.
@@jbj7599
To be fair, the second guy did say he thought it was a bit over the line.
But yea, they let him get away with it and encouraged that kind of behavior. Like Dixon said in the interview if Indy wants them to race like that they need to look at the rules again.
@@jbj7599 They weren't unanimous though, and the man who disagreed was James Hinchcliffe, a former driver which should tell you everything. But Indycar stewards operate on a basis of "the needle of responsibility" and although they must have thought Pato was partially to blame they would've considered the fact that Dixon was able to continue.
Because it was just a racing incident
@@jbj7599 NBC coverage sucks.
You should cover an IMSA race. The new GTP category is insane this year.
It’s quickly becoming some of my favorite racing
As someone who remembers the original IMSA GTP, the new one is just making me so happy because it really does get the spirit of how it used to be.
IMSA is crazy. Last year's 24 Hours of Daytona had some of the craziest shit I've seen in a race
Pato got involved with 3/4 Ganassi drivers yesterday probably not a good idea to upset so many drivers at once!
Especially on the same team!
Indycar puts on the best racing product right now. Although the IMSA Long Beach race on Saturday was pretty good.
Taylor binned it going for the GUSTO! And Penske Porsche surprising folks. Did a straight Judo move on the #10, like a champ!
MotoGP every time. Harder to take a spec series seriously
IMSA and MotoGp have been on fire this season
@@canismajoris6733 How exactly? It's still racing and the teams have to adjust their setups and engineer the springs and dampers on these cars
@@smokeybandit9760 but there is something different about the teams having to design the whole car.
Pato's one of my favourite drivers but his moves into turn 8 on Sunday, especially the second one, were brain farts in my opinion. Hopefully he can bounce back at Barber, he is the defending winner there after all.
Plus he's McLaren's best chance of winning a championship this year, as he has been for the last couple of years, which for me as a McLaren fan, would provide some solace over the fact that we're struggling in F1 if he were to pull it off! Third time lucky?
Pato O'ward is just a disguise of Ross Chastain confirmed.
Ross who?
@@boodew-dp5jnNascar wallride man
If in 2017 you’d have told me Marcus Ericsson and Pascal Wehrlein would be leading a championship, I’d have not believed you
You've become a must watch as I keep up with IndyCar for the first time. It is a really good racing product!!
When Grosjean interviewed Pato last year, he did say his friends call him Potato. Drives like this show why.
Potato Ward and the French Fry FTW!
A Day for Juncos Hollinger to forget. Nothing but the best for them in the future! 💚🖤
A day for my boy Dixon to forget.
I'm hoping the indy car content continues 🙏
I'm glad a lot of new people is now paying attention to this amazing series.
up to a least 100 folks!
Indy car is the best racing in the world.
3 races, 3 different winners. Indycar is pretty competitive right now.
Chaotic, not competitive.
It has always been competitive!
Been waiting on this one bud LOL!!! Thanks for sticking with Indy!
I keep needing to watch indycar but I’m always got something to do
Just do it! You won’t be disappointed!
Love the consistent INDYCAR videos
One has to wonder by what margin 'Fireball' Grosjean would be leading the championship if he could resist the urge to twat his car into the nearest wall on the last lap. Go big or go home!
If we go conservative and just say that he finished 2nd in St. Pete and 5th in Texas he would have 41 more points, giving him 112. I didn't take the time to calculate how that would have changed all of the other drivers' points, but Ericsson, the current leader, has 110 points as it stands.
I’m so glad you’re covering IndyCar, Will! I friggin’ love your videos and content, brother…. Keep it up man, we’re here for it! 🏎️🤙🏻
Awesome video as always, just commenting to help with the algorithm 🙂
Legend!!
Pat O Ward .. what a goose. His reaction to the Dixon mess was interesting ..
Possible his explosion in popularity is making him a bit less grounded and humble.
I love how in F1 Grosjean is the human torch who is seen as so dangerous but in IndyCar his big chaotic energy makes him about average in causing destruction. Congrats on the podium Romain, I only watch Indy because of you and your goofy french face.
Mclaren needs to call that new livery Creamsicle Papaya.
Yes when i saw the Malboro Mclaren tribute livery for the 500 i spunked myself very explosively and i am still trying to clean my boxers after such a violent nut busting
Bro thank you for making a video about this... not enough indy youtubers. How are there no penalties... just incentivizes more drivers to go for dumb moves
2:27 Ironically Veekay is Dutch not American
good to hear someone acroos the pond understand American way of racing. Most european think of it as BORING
How!?
Man i like Pato too. He was just wreck less at LBGP tho
o’ward reminds me of a young verstappen. talented as fuck, even more aggressive and dangerous though.
When Pato hit Dixon and sent him to the wall I was laughing. Then when interviewed and saying he was not going to apologize that was even more histerical!!!
"It was intentional, I'm not sorry and if he doesn't like it I'll be happy to climb out of his mother's bed and put him into the wall again" - Official statement from Pato
Great video bro😂
Great Video once again, Will
Thank you!!
Grosjean played a team game
Do you watch IMSA and GT World Challenge too?
Also, "How NOT to Tweet"....
Practically all of Argentina. *facepalm*
Pato O'Ward has evolved into Santino Ferrucci with a fast car.
lmao
😂😂😂
I was actually there on Sunday
Newgarden needs to bring something extra to the next race. Like some more fuel or a set of bike pedals.
Great video! And it was a good race for Long Beach. Also I'm so glad to see Grosjean right there it's like he's there, he just needs a little bit more. Also I would love to know what his team was thinking with the push to pass business.
Fuel was low. Push to pass burns up the gas.
Best part 1:05
I love these videos.
Roger should sit them all down and have a no questions just answers meeting. With ice cream sandwiches.
Pato O’What the f*** are you doing!
Incredible 😂😂😂
Hey, I just wanted to ask or rather suggest if you want to cover either the 24 hours of le mans or the isle of man tt this year as kind of a special.
O'Ward should have been dished out the same penalty Scott McLaughlin got for an almost identical incident with Grosjean at St Pete ... except O'Ward then went and did it again ... in the same race!

if you no longer go for a gap... (there wasnt a gap)
That added a curb B's like bruh who in any way thought that was a good idea
Apparently a piece the curb broke off during the first sports car practice on Friday, before the Indycars were on track. They didn't repair the curb until the track closed at the end of the day, and didn't tell anyone. So it was a surprise to the Indycar teams on Saturday morning.
the joke about marcus armstrongs rizz aged well...
Long Beach was and Awesome weekend
Andretti 1 2 4. Twas a happy Sunday for yah boy. Would have been a lil better if mclaren were further up but hey can't be greedy
I was there for the race Sunday firstindy car race I got to see Pretty awesome
I'm a huge pot off fan but I got to say I have no idea WTF he was doing in that race.
Pato*
Great synopsis of the race!
That race start was so bad. Definitely agreed with Dixon that it was a shocker. I felt Indycar should have just cancelled the start and had them try again. By allowing it to continue, Indycar was basically saying that for a track like Long Beach, where the start has a corner shortly before it, cars a few cars back from pole can be late, then gas it up to pass competitors who qualified higher, prior to the start line, or shortly after the start line due to a huge speed differential. That's so wrong and makes a mockery of qualifying.
As to the O'Ward vs Dixon crash. Dixon did take that corner wide. BUT: Hinchcliffe said that O'Ward came a long way back (something I put more emphasis on given he was a rather decent driver in the series), and more critically to me, the corner was a difficult one to make a pass on without crashing the competitor on the outside, into the wall. Which is what happened to Dixon. O'Ward bumped Dixon into the wall, and barely missed the wall himself. You could argue that if O'Ward had not bumped Dixon, he himself may have hit the wall (not the tyres). Definitely should have been a penalty. McClaughlin had a penalty in an earlier race for the same scenario, and rightly so: I felt sorry for Grosjean in that instance, and I'm a big McClaughlin fan.
Was very satisfying to see O'Ward crash a few laps later, and it was amazing he didn't take anyone out with him. Maybe race control didn't give him a penalty because he didn't touch anyone: had tried, then tried not to, spun in front of most of the field as he tried not to, and then Ericcson somehow drove through him with only minor damage. And yeah, that Newgarden early pit for the last stop was bizarre. I could only think that the Chevvies were somehow bad on fuel consumption. But after the race, Newgarden said there was a secretive problem with the car, that we weren't allowed to know about. At least Andretti had their cars manage to finish a race: the problems with Grosjean and Herta is that they are both fast when racing, but also prone to ending their races prematurely due to not knowing when to stop pushing. Brian Herta is probably happy to be coaching a driver who knows to race to his limits. ;-)
Pato O'Ward is out of control. If I was Dixon O'ward would be sporting a very black eye
I like how this guy trying to make it seem like Oward is a brainless unproven driver when he's literally 2nd and was runner-up in 21 with a mid field car
Go Big or Go home😂😂😂😂😂
Idk maybe I'm the odd one out but I feel like a lot of people are losing their minds and acting like Pato just ended his career over one bad race, I mean cmon, even the likes of Senna and Schumacher had dirty races, sometimes crashing out their championship rival so they could win the championship yet they are hailed as legends, meanwhile, Pato has one dirty race at the beginning of the season and people are sending him death threats...
On another note Dale Earnhardt did it too, lol
Can we have more videos like this but for the IndyNXT series?
What is the difference? I’m relatively new to NTT Indycar
That’s basically the f2 equivalent. It’s a bit harder to find in the UK unfortunately but if there’s a crazy race I’ll see what I can do!
@@FP1Will You've become a must watch each week as I start following IndyCar, I hope your content explodes as one of the few covering it!
The Indycar season is shaping up pretty nicely. The schedule pacing is terrible, but that's what happens when you have to beg for broadcast time.
E prix at Berlin next ?
I'm really interested in indycar but I can't afford subscriptions
Formula E raced there
as a new casual viewer, it was a good race. i need to work out how the teams work though, a bit confusing
As a long time Indy fan, I'd be happy to explain whatever you're confused on.
@@laurenmp7486 Thanks, so Kirkwood and Grosjean are team mates but liveries are different and there is a another team mate who has a different livery as well. so the cars are owned by one person/team. However each car is funded/ sponsored differently? (unlike f1 where a team has two identical cars.) However McClaren has two similiar looking liveries because its brand. And you can have more than two cars per team. I am I right so far?
@@pyke209 All of that is correct. In Indy cars a team can have any number of drivers, 1, 2, 3 or more. Though 2 is historically most common. Also teams can have different primary sponsors for different cars, though that's somewhat rare.. So you can see two cars from the same team with different liveries.
@@laurenmp7486 yhanks very muchfor the info
@@pyke209 You're most welcome.
That was good, but dont do Marcus so dirty 🥲
Long Beach BEEF 🍖🍖🍖
well never see him in F1 for this reason
Giving humor a shot? Well, don't give up your day job.
Long Beach delivers. yet again. Somehow, someway, Long Beach puts on great races, year in, year out.
Also, that start a usual Long Beach start, we didn't have a massive moment at T1. Then again, whoever it was that tried to take T1 backwards and sdeways with a blown tire...that did not work.
IndyCar has a top 10 passes highlight video of this race on their channel. If it was titled "the only 10 passes at Long Beach" it would still be more than F1
😂😂😂
There were something like 253 on-track passes during this race.
I love pato but it was karma seeing him in the tyre barriers he can’t expect to drive like that and not expect consequences. Also happy that romain got a podium he’s been unlucky in the first few races
#RacingIncident 🤷🏻🤔😂
The GTP cars are faster than Indy Cars 😉
Early season scheduling is tough. One thing that happens in March is March Madness and Indiana (and midwest, where most of the Indycar fans are located) are crazy for college basketball. It's one of the things they really don't want to compete against.
Hello
hi
O'Ward seemed to totally lose the damn plot! I'm a big fan of the guy but I seriously can't defend that driving!
who's Logan Paul?
I don't know if I can ever take someone named 'Pato O'Ward' seriously. His name sounds like one of the fake players you'd find on the old Pro Evolution games.
"Pato" is short for "Patricio", dumbfuck. Go touch grass and meet real people.
I don’t hate O’Ward, but he was in the wrong. That was a dive and he should’ve been penalized.
To be fair O'Wards move on Dixon was absolutely on, he had loads more grip and was clearly going to make that corner fine. It's just a shame that Dixon didn't see the late move coming.
No excuses for the second one though.
It looked like Dixon was already turning in when Pato decided to lunge from Pato’s on board
@@Epetr0 They're still are professional drivers. They can predict when someone's way faster and is going for lunges.
On sunday I went to the long beach gp. There, I met this crappy youtube guy... I think his name was- *stammering* M-m-ario Andretti, I think. Yeah that was cool.
Dixon left the inside wide open. WIDE open. And Pato wasn’t penalized for that pass either.
God bless you. I'm American and I can't watch Indy its just bad.
This series used to be my favorite a number of years ago . You calling them Americans is stretching it a bit . Grojean and other F1 rejects have no place in a car with any more than 12 hp . He cost his F1 team piles of cash , wrecking more than a few times . Well , back to anticipating another brilliant commentary on the next race , F1 or Indy , actually both . Thanks for the entertainment .
Minor national series. They still think ovals are racing.
Oward lost all my respect today. He raced like Max verstappen, or people in my GT lobby who use full assists and don’t understand anything. Thanks for calling him out.
Typical F1. Doesn’t know anything about the spec series and doesn’t know it’s not called a safety car, and also I dare you to drive with no hydraulics.
Literally called it a pace car earlier in the video
