Letting people f'stuff up is a tactic most business owners neglect to implement. I worked in NASCAR for teams, and the people I learned from let me make mistakes all the time. Of course they monitored my progress towards the mistake because lives were/are dependent on quality. Nonetheless, it's a tactic I employed during training of new employees years later.
