I love how this drives the fact that OMORI isn't some evil entity at all, it's just Sunny's trauma response, it's his own mind trying to protect him from the horrific events he witnessed.
Even in the final boss fight against OMORI, it doesn't even seem to be it talking, it's just voices and thoughts from Sunny's psyche echoing back at him.
It's doing it's best to protect Sunny, but not in a way that is healthy for him or anyone else in the long run, which is really how a lot of trauma responses act.
Yeah! That's basically my interpretation of OMORI :)
This is so well made I love it!! It’s rare to see people make sunny and omori interact outside of how they do in game. It was also so cute how he let sunny see mari again :’(

You really only need to take the slightest of liberties to take the tale of a fox spirit tricking a lost kid into a pleasant delusion as an allegory for Sunny retreating into his dreams as a way to escape reality.
Kikuo makes some great tracks and it's fun to see you take inspiration from such a recent track.

0:49 was my fav part. The way Sunny gives into his grief once he sees Mari again is amazing. The details you put in his expression, how his face contorts from disbelief, anxiety, and then relief is- mwah.

I have been obsessed with this song since it released yet I never made the connection to Omori till seeing this. Amazing job and seeing How Omori manipulates Sunny into living in White space and being unable to solve his trauma only to have the best intentions. It’s sad to know he’s only trying to repress his sadness but it can only truly heal when it’s expressed. Criminally underrated and you need more subs!

@@aleemeoww yeah, Omori has always been taught that running from his problems is the best, and doesn't want Sunny to suffer again, so for him dying is the best and only choice after Sunny learns the truth
I love this because it shows how Sunny and Omori are the same, but very different! Sunny is afraid and lonely; however, Omori stands in as his protector. I always thought of it as a "persona" of sorts that became too powerful when Sunny started uncovering the truth, and you display it perfectly!
For a second I thought this would be a parody of the spider and the kitsune like lion lol.

This is criminally underrated! The art is wonderful, and the choice in music is amazing! Just the bit with the hands taking Sunny, the way they fade into OMORI's hands, just the general bits of animation add so much!!! Outstanding work.

This is it. This is the video that gets me to finally buy Omori after like a year of seeing random lore edits on TikTok. The portrayal you got across with both sides of the boy by simply using Kikuo’s lyrics is amazing! The visuals of Omori hugging Sunny essentially throughout the entire song is amazing. From what I know, Omori is basically trying to Protect Sunny in his fragile mental state.. The Fox being so kind and gentle even when the child is clearly hurt by the delusions is such a good metaphor for their relationship!
I also absolutely *adore* your choice to not put in the ending part of the song in and end the video on those chaotic descending notes. I literally could not think of a more perfect way to showcase the boy’s character. He’s a young boy who’s falling into a never ending spiral by trying to protect himself from trauma. The power he seeks is simply too much for him to gain because in the end he can’t control the trauma he experienced. It’s beautiful.

Omg this is Awesome! It’s very very sad but shows the true nature of coping mechanisms like OMORI. There not supposed to be good nor bad there just there to erase the pain. It also goes very well with the song :)

This is one of my favorite Omori fan works ever, the lyrics and animation match so well. I love how the ending is cut off midway, it captures that feeling of falling endlessly, and the red hands turns into the friends just makes me feel so alone but comforted (?) at the same time

This seems like the perfect representation of slit personality disorder to me. Someone goes through so much trauma that they create a supposedly “perfect” version of the self to coincide within them.
