Sir does the char dasha repeat for same set of years after first cycle of completion. For example for my father who was 75yrs in year 2000, the char dasha stops in the year 2008. Grandmother who is presently 93yrs char dasha of Sri kn rao stops at year 2001. Do we repeat the same dashas and antardashas sir or will the sequence reverse ?

That is one approach and school of thought I follow according to other school of thought rahu ketu do give results independently like wherever ketu sits it breaks this wonderful technique can be used for BTR too but I follow first school of thought more of dispositors as it gives me more insights about strength of rahu ketu and how the dasha will be.
SK Mehta Ji had discussed both school of thought the independent significations of rahu ketu which are used in predictions, but he too stress more on dispositors!
