Trey's voice as MJ is one of the most amazing impressions in the series imo.
HEE-hee!
Shamona
Ikr!
I don't know who's a better voice actor; Trey Parker or Seth MacFarlane. I mean, they're both talented imo😁
@@jarredbillings2332Definitely Trey!
It’s always been so funny to me that Kenny’s appearance without his hoodie in this episode is so random and never played up as some big reveal
We've already seen his face in the movie.
He shows up a bunch of times unhooded. He even showed up unhooded this year's season. The thing is supposed to be that he always has something covering his face. Even if he isnt wearing anything you never get to see his "full" face and hair, except for the movie. Tho they have broken this rule in the past for some reason. Mainly the brodway bro down in the episode, when he is seen in a pool, but there his face is half covered by someone else. Or the You're getting old episode, where you can just fully see him sittin in a table with his hood down. Nothing covers him up then, the only thing he has is a little birthday hat, which i guess counts. The baseball or sarcastaball episodes both cover just his hair with a hat and the rest of his unhooded appearances always have some sort of mask or glasses.
@@vivimos_en_una_sociedad7758 since when was it a rule?
@@Komix777 the people who've seen the movie have. That's not the entire Show's audience plus it was only once
A big part of the joke is that the kids look the same, except for the hair. When they get their heads shaved in the cult episode, they can't even tell who is who. They show Kenny's face in that also.
This is easily in the top 10 best South Park episodes. How they handled Michael Jackson's character was great.
No that ignorant

THE MICHAL Jackson episode is epic! best of them all!Funniest episode ever!
I think the best take on MJ is that he was an immensely talented musical prodigy who's influence cannot be overstated. But regardless of whether the accusations he faced are true or not he was definitely deeply troubled who did some inappropriate things. His whole life was pretty much an endless rollercoaster of illnessess and pain, both mental and physical. He spent his whole life in the spotlight, was abused as a child, suffered from diseases like vitiligo and lupus and got addicted to painkillers and surgery after suffering horrific fourth degree burns. His low self-esteem caused him to never dare to explain his troubles which resulted in the media portraying him as an eccentric weirdo, which only fueled his insecurities. He also suffered from eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia and it's also worth noting that he was raised as a Jehova's Witness, which most certainly warped his sense of self and his sense of morality. His close friend Elizabeth Taylor once surprised him with his first christmas (he could never experience it due to his religious upbringing) and while he was grateful he reportedly went to the bathroom to cry, feeling like he both didn't deserve it and that he was betraying his beliefs. He eventually had his doctor give him strong anesthetics every night to help him sleep due to his immense backpain (essentially knocking him out, so he went like two months without any real sleep) which eventually killed him. Honestly I can't help but feel bad for the guy. Considering what he went trough it's a small miracle he didn't turn out much, much worse than he did.
Also he molested roughly 30 children.

Yea that is the life of a superstar... MJackson is maybe the biggest music star in the world, but his life was not without problem..
"Dead Celebrities" would be a great follow up to this one, and I think it fits Dash's taste in South Park perfectly as well!
Oh hell yeah!!!
It's a great follow up 👍
Definitely, Dead Celebrities is one of my favorite episodes ever.

My favorite thing about Dash living in Japan is that he drops videos when I'm up late as hell in my timezone 😂
Japan its in the future
It's CZcams; why does it matter? It's not like you have to catch it live or anything
I don't have any biorythm... so my timezone doesn't matter at all. It's great waking up and you realize dash dropped a vid two hours ago. That's all the keeping track of time that i need ;)
Well that explains his knowledge of the Japanese language
THE MICHAL Jackson episode is epic! best of them all!Funniest episode ever!
I think for starters Michael suffered a lot of abuse as a kid specifically from his father. Combine that with fame at a young age and it's no wonder he turned out the way he did.
Yeah all the kids were abused (likely the mother as well) and were all forced to perform. They indeed had zero real childhood and as a result I'm sure ALL have psychological demons. But Mike was the star so he got it the worst.
I suppose…I mean my dad died of heroin overdose before I was born then abusive stepfather and mother with bipolar and schizophrenia. But maybe the fame 🤷♂️
@@Bonbonbon739 Their entire childhood was essentially perform or get beaten. Practice or get beaten. So it essentially was no childhood. The Jacksons weren't kids. They were stage animals with an abusive owner
@@Bonbonbon739 everyone handles things differently
@@stephenpatterson8056 Eactly. All the Jackson children were musically talented. But when Joe noticed what Micheal could do? It was game over.
This episode was one of the main ones to establish Kyle's nurturing side with the way he starts taking care of Blanket.

Any episode with Harrison Yates is a gonna be a banger. What I learned from this episode was to never frame a guy until you are sure if he is black. Which I'm pretty sure was the message Trey was trying to convey.
Jokes aside, they're making fun of people who spout bullshit like the police frames innocent black people. They even joke about how they tried framing OJ.
Nailed it

Matt and Trey held an outdoor concert for the 25th anniversary of the show. They performed songs from the series and movie. I would have loved to have been there.
I’ve rewatched it so many times.

Holy cow, Dash. The smash cuts to the exact moments they were referencing from those interviews. It's weird how much they *weren't* exaggerating with the way he talked. Also well done recognising Kenny, it was a hilarious reveal for me when I first watched it.
7:38 I haven't seen your skin crawl like that since the "Cartman Joins Namba" episode. This time you even screamed!
Best South Park reactor on CZcams and it’s not ever close. The extra insight you’re able to add is extraordinary. Please don’t stop.

I can't believe it's taken you so long to get to this one! This is definitely one of the funniest episodes, almost every line has me dying.
"almost every line has me dying." Maybe don't buy drugs laced with fentanyl...
I know you get this a lot, but i can't overstate how refreshing it is for a react channel to catch more of the references and in jokes than me, especially when ive seen almost all of these south park episodes more than once.
I'm a big fan of Michael Jackson's music. From the Jackson 5 to his solo works. He was a musical genius. The King of Pop. ❤ His personal life is a whole other conversation. 😂😂😂

I grew up with a girl called Shannon and we used to call her Shamona because of this episode. Now I’m older it doesn’t make sense but it’s still funny thinking back lol
In these cases, I always think of the scene in River's Edge where Keeanu is explaining why they call their friend John.
"His name's not John. It's a nickname. His last name is Tollet. Toilet. John. Get it?"
Here's a story about MJ from my primary school: I'm from eastern Europe, we had a replacement teacher who was old. The theme of the class was athletic excellence, so she asked us to name a famous athlete we like. I named Michael Jordan. Her response was "no, he's a singer".
Thought Jordan was Jackson
bruh
i love the scene with the detective's irish wife giving him the pep talk 🤣one of the best movie cliches ever
I hope we get more from that cop in the future he's pretty rare as far as secondary characters go but anytime he shows up it's gold.
You just witnessed one of the only times in the show you hear Kenny's voice unmuffled and uncensored. He say's "WTF" in a coon episode, and in the movie he has an unmasked line, but other than that this is the only other time you hear him completely normal. All the other he's using a voice changer, muffled, or something interferes with hearing it completely.

The Michael Jackson case was always a weird one for so many years everyone said he was guilty than shortly after his tragic death countless conspiracy theorys were spread and now so many people want justice for MJ 🤷♀️
no matter what the truth of the legal cases were, he undoubtedly had a tragic life. one of the most recognizable musicians to ever walk this earth and I'd argue he had a very unlucky hand dealt for most, if not all his life
That's what you get for messing with the ((tribe))
No conspiracies, except for online idiots that pretended to be him after his death, claiming that he’s in hiding to spend time with his kids but giving out his number to fans. 🙄
Those Micheal clips you found are so spot on. Dash you never fail to amaze me with your references, you're probably one of the most worldly reactioners I know of.
I love video games too, what are some of your favorites?
MJ is hands down my favorite celebrity spoofs on this show. Perfection
7:34 Oh man, that subtle flinch of discomfort killed me. 😂
Michael "Jefferson": I'm melting!
Dash: Dear God 😨
😂😂😂😂
Everyone talks about Cartman and Randy, but I believe that Officer Yates is truly underrated! Easy Top 5 character
I believe Michael was innocent. I have to say, even though I am a huge fan of his music and don't believe he ever did anything wrong, this still cracks me up.
Season 6, Episode 14: The Death Camp of Tolerance. Predicted society perfectly.
I thought it was Michael Jackson doing Mr. Jefferson's voice for YEARS. That’s how good it is. 😂
Love your vids! No 2-5 min intros with ads just straight to the video and love how you point out all the neat facts. 👍🏽
Matt and Trey are geniuses. At content creativity, voices and everything else they bring to the table.
Trey parker Should be a Michael Jackson impersonator ASAP.
I have a theory… hear me out…
The reason Dash wasn’t surprised that was Kenny is because he always hears Kenny in his normal not his muffled voice.
This video was 100% brilliant! The cutaways were so well researched… I didn’t know half of the facts about Michael Jackson that Trey and Matt were referring to throughout the episode. Thanks for putting this together, and if you have an editor, hats off to them for perfect cut timing.
I was doing a study abroad in London when Michael Jackson died. People were laying flowers in Trafalgar Square after his death was announced. It was a crazy amount of flowers and other types of items that people left there, not to mention the people just hanging out down there crying and singing his songs. It was kind of weird to me the way people were reacting to his death. You just don't see people doing that very often. It goes to show just how big Michael Jackson was that a lot of people would react that way to his death and to do so despite all the horrible rumors that circulated about him.
If I remember correctly Michael Jackson had at one point thousands of people outside his hotel room. Bear in mind this was before the internet. I don't think theres an artist that will ever be as big as him again.
Your reactions are always amazing, but what makes you especially interesting to watch is how many references you pick up, even the obscure ones. I am not lying when I say I've seen every episode at least 5-6 times, but watching your reactions has brought a completely new appreciation for the show, so many things that flew right over my head. Its almost like I'm watching them again for the first time. Thank you so much and keep it up! Love the content!
"Be cool dude. I think maybe he's a burn victim or something."
This quote lives rent free in my head 😂
A great book on Michael Jackson is Remember the Time. It’s testimony from Michael’s last bodyguards from after the trial up until he died. The stories really showed how much Michael cared for his kids but also the paranoia of his celebrity lifestyle, how mismanaged his business was, and how the people surrounding him tried to take advantage of him. Another good one was The Michael Jackson Conspiracy. A beat for beat recap of his trial and acquittal by Aphrodite Jones. Great stuff.
Those bodyguards did lie a lot though.
I feel sorry for MJ. He tried to get away from his past all his life by trying to escape from the rest of the world, but the world wouldn't let him. And when he gave greedy people what they wanted, it just invited more of them.
Any episode involving Detective Harrison Yates is a golden episode 😂😂😂
It blows my mind how many references and callbacks to previous episodes you pick up on.... your memory is impeccable.
I remeber the burn accident on the Bad tour and the Pepsi commercial- I was in Hamburg Germany at the time with my parents. My mom was playing harp at the Atlantic Kempiński hotel inhamburg and it was emptied out just for him to stay. She was playing in the lobby and I went to work with her and was way in the back but got tonsee him from afar with his bodyguards.
15:33 im probebly in the Minority, but i still believe in Michael Jackson's innocence.
I agree with you, too
I look at Michael and I see a weirdo.
But you look at somebody like Epstein and you see a predator.
Me too. Creepy: Yes. Needed a shit ton of therapy: hell yes. P*do: no
Same. Dude was an easy target, since he had gobs of money and mental issues. I think some folks just wanted some of his money and figured everyone would buy their story because he was kinda creepy already.
@@meijinx9673 I'm 100% of this opinion also
Nah he admitted to sleeping in the same bed as young boys. Even if he didn’t do anything to them that’s still very very strange. He had a shitty childhood yes and probably lots of mental issues and he was a genius in his craft which could mean he was fucked up in the head from birth. However it doesn’t excuse all the weird shit he done
You can tell how much trey and Matt defended Michael Jackson in this episode.
Unlike Disney who had to exclude the stark raving dad episode from the simpsons on their streaming service.
I remember being about 11 and watching this 3 hour long biopic on VH1 or MTV of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5. The way his father beat them and made them work unreasonable hours made me really sad. Interestingly, I watched it just before the famous 60 minutes interview came out. I had so much sympathy for Michael and his brothers and sisters.
I was torn between the allegations against him in the 2000s and the abuse he went through growing up. Mom told me to pray for him.
Skewering MJ and the cops with surgical precision. Viva South Park!
the way you pick out references and tiny details like the chinpokomon in the claw machine is amazing. I never would have noticed that
You are a history channel with the references , a great way to remember why a phrase is familiar!!
Thanks for just being the absolute most interesting human alive capable of reviewing South Park, in a way that exposes all the minute subtleties that only an intellectual individual can!
I appreciate your efforts, your insights, and most of all... "You"!
Thanks Again!
Dash you and Stan's scream were identical at the end of that dream sequence 😂. I lost it.
That shot of Michael and his various faces was incredible. it's crazy when you see it in a time lapse like that.
I was actually watching this episode the other day. While watching it, I asked myself, "Has Dash reacted to this yet?" I'm so glad you finally reacted this episode. This is one of my absolute favorite South Park episodes.
lol the ad-libs dough... 😂
I love Harrison Yates in this episode he's the best part of the episode, this is one of my favorite episodes of South Park, by the way I hope you check out the sequel of this episode, which is about Dead Celebrities.
Man, I wish Dash had this Men In Black Memory eraser flashy thing to forget all the South Park clip compilations he saw.
But he's still doing a great job reacting to it naturally again without acting like he never saw those scenes before!
Anyway, I just want to politely reiterate that I *can't wait* to see his reaction to _"The Death Camp of Tolerance"_ ! 👍
Same! Easily a top 10 episode for me
I think the thing with South Park is even though we may have seen a certain scene multiple times it never stops being funny. South Park is just awesome all around 👌! I'm still waiting for the "Night of the Living Homeless" episode to come up 😁.

Micheal Jackson really did have a wild transformation. I never really saw a timeline picture like the one you posted int he video, its fascinating to me that it's even possible.
As far as my take on the allegations.. I don't know. I hope its not true. I'll always love his music, and he clearly was an extremely troubled individual.
If it's true then at least he can't hurt anyone anymore, if it isn't true then he is at peace. Love your reactions Dash, I lost access to my main youtube account, so you got a new subscriber via this one, but I've been here with you for over a year now!
HEE-HEE! SHAMONA! lol!!! Kills me every time.
I mean MJ totally did some shit but no one can deny that he was THE King of Pop
Yeah, I think at the very least his relationship with kids was inappropriate and he had deep issues stemming from his childhood - in my honest opinion, he was guilty of the crimes he was accused of too, I could go into my reasoning but I don't want to write a whole essay about allegations detailing some really disgusting behaviour, I'll just say he was a hurt man that hurt more people and convinced himself it was all okay (like a lot of predators do).
Nonetheless, he was a phenominal artist, so talented in so many aspects, all around a brilliant mind. A lot of people that worked for him have said that "King of Pop" was a title his PR team came up with, but he's clearly deserving of that title for the influence he had.
Yep, crazy talented, and a bizarro pedophile who preyed on boys. They arent mutually exclusive. Roman Polanski makes good movies, and he also raped a minor. Hitler did some good things, he also ordered so much murder. Its like we shouldnt feel the need to deny that good things can from a person who has done terrible things.
I agree, he may not have done all the things he was accused of but for me there is no doubt he was attracted to young boys. And it may have taken his victims years to realize they had actually been abused because it all happened in such a friendly, playful manner. I don't want to be gross but many 13 year old boys have jacked off next to a pal. Only to realize much later that their good pal from back then had been a middle aged man who set up the whole thing.
This is when you know how far South Park was willing to go.
_noo, that's ignorant_ being said against things that aren't ignorant. i love it
When I first watched this I was like “Wait that was Kenny?!”
I was waiting for a very long time this reaction! Haha thanks! ❤

How have you not done “The Death Camp of Tolerance?”
This episode isn't saying "this is what cops do to rich black men" it is asking "is this really what you think is happening?" and putting a spot light on it to expose it for the absurdity that it is. Of course this came out in 2004 and twenty years later... I'm not so sure it is an absurd thing to think about authority figures lately. I was a big MJ fan, but I never paid much attention to anything out side of his career, until it got real bad and you couldn't ignore or avoid it any longer. I get that he had a ROUGH childhood with abuse and being a musical prodigy but that still doesn't excuse the stuff he was accused of and subsequently settled outside of court for. I have always maintained that innocent people do not ask for an out of court settlement.
The first of a few episodes with Michael Ja...Jefferson.
