Dash, 2:20 I know you probably didn't notice your first time through, but the blonde kid with the ball cap sitting beside Kyle is Kenny without his hood, it's one of the rare occasions you get to actually see his face.
i mean i really liked playing sports.
Hey Dash have you watched Grey Dawn yet?
@@deathgrinderb3284 i played for over a decade when i was younger and i didnt like sports and they were a waste of time and i wasnt good, rather play video games and watch stuff on weekends instead of wasting my weekend and friday
You got to admire BatDad for still staying motivated even the score was 0 to 28 🤣😂🤣😂
ikr lol
Makes me wonder if they're so good at sucking how did they get to the finals in the first place?
He’s a good man. Just a little nutty.
You just got Batdadded! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s all that alcohol that helps him maintain his devotion.
I liked how he had a huge reaction to seeing Kyle without a hat but didn’t realize Kenny is sitting next to him without his hood
fr
While you were noting Kyle's appearance without his hat, sitting next to Kyle with the blond hair and tilted hat is Kenny.
As the seasons go on Kenny is more often uncovered and even speaks unmuffled but they don't draw attention to it much so it's not always obvious that it is him.
I knew that was him.
Yeah I thought he'd mention Kenny. Though Kyle is the most unrecognizable tbh. That's a giant Jew fro!
I had a feeling it was Kenny, but like you said they didn't focus on him much in this episode.
he's only there for few frames as well
If you've seen the movie then you'd know that's Kenny
As a little league player in the early 2000s with dads being the coach of every team, they got very personal beefs with each other at who is the better coach this episode is an all time classic and too accurate 😂
I played baseball in the mid-1990s and had to quit mid-season due to personal reasons I genuinely can't remember. The assistant coach accepted it at the time and took me off the roster. A week or so later, the head coach tried to confront me *at church* with his family and shouted at me like I was an adult that had betrayed him. Dad wound up shoving him on his ass and was pissed the rest of the weekend. I was just confused. I was nothing special. I was a solid enough player, but easily replaced. Still have no idea why this older man got his ego bent outta shape over a teenager quitting.
It’s because they are passionate enough about something they may not have been good at or if they were since they can relate to it so well maybe more likely they had family situations that made them not likely to play for other reasons when they really wanted to who knows
I played soccer early to mid 2000s it was the same my dad yelling at other dads every game lol
Were you bored as I was when I played?
The accuracy of the episode makes it so good. Very clever of the writers
"I didn't hear no bell "
lmfao this show is so ridiculous/hilarious at the same time
This is one of the classic South Park episodes I go back and watch every now and then, simply because of how hilarious it is. It's a perfect anti-parody of those 90's sports movies where the underdog team somehow wins state championship.
Asspen is another good one for that, except more on the 80s skiing movies.
"Anti-parody"
The fuck kind of pretentious nonsense...It's a parody.
The concept of little league teams fighting to lose because they want to stop baseball and play video games is one of the funniest stories ever
One of my favorite episodes. I boldly claim that there is at least 1 south park episode out there for everyone to enjoy. And proud to say this was episode I got my grandma to watch and she loved it.
Creme Freche & Over Logging("Sounds like someone's being attacked by a tiger" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣) are the only Randy episodes that I like more than this one. And this one is unbelievably hilarious
My mother loved it too. It might be the least offensive South Park episode out there, but it's also one of the funniest. The whole premise is incredibly hilarious.
Butters bottom bitch probably my favourite
My high school football team had a guy like BatDad show up to every game. He had his own megaphone and acted CRAZY! No one knew who he was or if he even had any kids on the team lol. Everyone just called him Psycho Bob!
Psycho Bob: **while being led away in handcuffs by the local P.D.** “What!? I’m sorry, I thought this was America!”
"you're about to be bat-dadded" the way he say it 😂😂
Kenny without his hood and having the baseball hat covering part of his face was a nice touch in this episode.
To this day I still laugh at the victorious jump by Randy at the end. Its as if that beating up another dad in the finals was his life's goal. And when his son told him he was the greatest after his crowning achievement (lol).... his euphoric jump in victorious celebration was the perfect ending.
It was so brilliant how they tied it all-together at the end so Randy "wins" by getting the team disqualified.
it’s really interesting how somebody could be against gay people and still watch/enjoy South Park, which has multiple gay characters
guess things are only sins when they’re convenient for you
For some context, The "new kid" that the boys get to join their team is Kyle's cousin who lives in Conntecticut. The funny/sad part is is that his name is ALSO Kyle and he's a much more exaggerated stereotype of a Jewish person, much to South Park Kyle's chagrin. He debuted in S5E11: The Entity. It's a pretty amusing episode, like a part where Kyle is so embarrassed about his cousin's arrival that he actually tries to pay Cartman to not make fun of him.
That really was a brutal episode, both for Kyle and Kyle's cousin. I remember at first feeling really bad for Kyle having to put up with his brother's asthma and annoying comments, but when he told Kyle that he should've "low-balled" Cartman on their deal to not make fun of him (or pay him more...I forget which one it really was), it actually kind of made me feel bad for the kid.
He's not "South Park Kyle." He's "Kyle 2!"
@@NotoriousLightningSheila should have just abbreviated Kyle Schwartz as K.S.
love that the whole episode Randy is fixated on just fighting somebody on the opposite teams than cheering on the kids winning
"I didnt hear no bell" Haha randy is too good.
When Randy starts singing while he is beating up bat dad cracks me up every time 😂😂😂
When the kid from an opposing team at 4:09 said: "We want to play video games," that actually kind of hits me hard. It hits me hard because that's exactly what I was thinking when I was that age playing sports.
Back then I was overweight and pretty lazy for the most part. I used to hate it when my mom made me go to practice and sometimes games because football and baseball were so brutal in the hot, humid Florida summer. I used to dislike how uncomfortable I felt in the uniforms and how I felt like I was gonna die at some of the practices.
Now...I just wish I could go back and change my attitude. It would've still been brutal, but now I see the honor and health that sports bring. If I could go back, I would eat healthier, not play video games as much, and embrace the hard work. Unfortunately, it was just difficult for me to see that at that age.
I think this episode is absolutely hilarious and Randy makes it twice as great, lmao. But sometimes when I hear the kids in the episode say they don't want to play and don't want to be there...it kinda makes me a little sad.
One of the most iconic lines of south park " i didnt hear no bell" comes from this episode Edit " i thought this was america is in here too"
1:58 and 5:30 Always crack me up. "I'm not allowed to stand up for myself? I thought this was America! Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was America." Always kills me. randy is the best. If you want another amazingly hilarious episode featuring Randy, check out Medicinal Fried Chicken and More Crap. Both had me howling.
Kyle Schwarz's first appearance in this episode was quite a fan service for everyone because he appeared previously in an episode where he made a total ass of himself totally embarassing Kyle, his cousin. hence why you weren't excited to see him.
also "I'm baaaaack" is his catchphrase.
I thought he was his cousin
@@ravenID429 oh crap, yeah, cousin. :)
@@Telepuzique 😄
It's also funny how he appeared in the south park game "Fractured but whole" 😂 I recommend either watching the gameplay or playing it yourseld
Can never get over Randy drunkenly singing You're the Best.
I don't think it made it into the reaction, but my favorite part of Randy's story is his delivery of "...guess that's my guy" when at one of the games
The fact that you recognized Clyde's mom is pretty amazing, at least to me... I've probably watched every episode there is, but I haven't paid it that much attention.
I love this episodes it's one of my personal favorites such a classic randy episode. Another classic randy episode which I love as well is season 9 episode 14 "bloody mary" I highly recommend it its hilarious
Haven’t heard of this one yet!
@@dash.reacts it's so funny, I'll give you a tiny spoiler randy joins AA.
Is it the one about disciprine
@@iceghoul_kaneki5477 I thought Randy joined the triple A and towed trucks for a living
@@memebrain2177 yup randy racked disciprine lol
relate to this episode so much. When I was a kid I started swimming on the swim team when I was just 5 years old. My parents thought it would be good for me or that I would enjoy it or something I know they were not trying to torture me, but I absolutely hated it it was awful. I just thought it was something I had to do. The day my mom noticed how sullen I was on the way to practice one morning and said that I didn't have to go if I didn't want to I was so so happy. I never knew that it was an option to stop going.
Love these reactions. lets me relive the good times when I watched them for the first time.
11:17
“Here we go. Here we go!”
11:19
“Oh wow!”
11:23
“C’mon, Randy!”
I nearly choked on my food when Micky ‘Get up ya bum’ popped up 😂😂
You did a great job cutting this episode down, I feel like I just watched the whole thing
Every episode has such good parallels and plays on real life, lots of the episodes even have multiple. Like in this one they have the play on the sports team going out to find a player to help them win, as well as the overall plot where they take wanting to win and replace it with wanting to lose, and finally they have the side story where Randy has his own championship thing going on with fighting drunk dads. They have such creative fun spins on things every episode
I think this was one of the first episodes where Randy started to transform into his current, ridiculous self. Such a great episode 😂
Edit: also for more on Kyle Schwartz, watch “The Entity”-another great SP episode with a WEIRD B-plot.
My favorite part about this episode is in their attempts to lose so they don’t have to keep playing a game they hate, they start to get a glimpse at some of the strategy and intricacies of real baseball (by going for the opposite), and the kids sort of trick themselves into enjoying the sport for a minute.
One of the most classic South Park episodes. Definitely one of Randy’s bests😂😂
The Rocky references are hilarious! 🤣
The kid they got to join their team and help them lose was Kyle’s cousin Kyle. You can see more of him in the s5:e11 episode called the Entity which is actually a great Mr Garrison episode that I hope you react to someday!
And the season 6 finale cameo wherein Cartman hires him to be his Christmas accountant.
Man, as a baseball fan I just loved the whole thing. With all the misconceptions of baseball as boring😂😂😂, believe me baseball is fun.
And if you noticed, seated on the right hand side of Kyle, there is Kenny
Believe me, 9 year Olds would much rather spend their precious summer vacay playing video games, browsing social media and watching movies than playing baseball......and probably any other sport either.
Apoyo al wey de arriba ☝️🤓
Another great episode. All based on Randy fighting the dads of the other team and the boys trying to intentionally lose as they don't want to play anymore and lose their Summer. 2 stories/plots overlapping.
But if you REALLY don't want to recognize them, then check out the episode where I believe the parents join a cult and the boys have their heads shaved. They all look identical and you can see how they are animated and designed.
Did Dash not notice that was Kenny sitting next to Kyle with his face showing at 2:22 😂
Totally missed it 😣 😆
Youth participation in sports has been WAY down for years, especially football.
I wouldn’t let my kids play football because of the risk of brain damage, but I’d encourage them to play any other sport, especially team sports. You learn life skills like perseverance, dealing with losing, and building teamwork!
Randy getting arrested in Mexico:
"Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was America!!"
😆🤣
This was the start of Randy being one of the best characters in the show.
This is my personal favorite. And it ages better than most.
That was crucial The Randy Marsh episode. Not even his later Steamy Ray Vaughn phase beat this. I like to think he tried to be normal, but after witnessing so much crazy stuff around him, he just gave up.
I think there’s a certain importance for children to get some physical activity from, say a sport, but I wouldn’t want to force my kid to do something they don’t want to do. Also, unknowingly parents are so proud of their kid, that their child may not know how to tell them they don’t want to participate anymore. I never did a sport when I was a kid, but I still was outside a lot, at the playground, and running around.
So much fun having the watch along for South Park -- thanks for these videos (I've seen them all...)
Such a great episode. I love how Randy over the years evolved from a minor side character into a kind of deranged everyman.
This is also one of the least offensive South Park episodes. So it's good to show to someone who maybe can't handle the extreme stuff. My mother loved it.
A great episode that always has me chuckling. Randy is such a "hero". & hearing all the kids trash talking themselves is hilarious! I'm sorry to tell you this Dash, but Kyle does indeed have a GIANT ginger afro. Blame him Mom.
Hope everyone is having a great week, & much love from here in the UK
I feel like Japan is way more into baseball than America now, even if baseball originated in America.
the episode that cemented randy marsh as one of the best characters in south park
Love that you try to get the most of the details as posible.... Thanks
This is the EP that turned Randy as the best South Park Character on the show over Cartman
You have the best reaction videos... Not fake laughing or anything and great narration. I'm subscribed.
Imagine how good you have to be to deliberately swing at a baseball and get it landing right in someone's catcher's mitt, or how incredible you have to be to throw it at a bat to get the opposing team hitting a bunt.
If you haven't already, I recommend Asspen, Season Six Episode Two. It's another sports movie parody, only that one is about Skiing movies.
I love that despite Denver practicing to get good at really sucking, they still made it to the state finals...
One of my favourites, I just love how Randy is ... well Randy
One of the all-time greatest episodes.
What Randy really needed was a "Training Montage".
I love Randy's "I thought this was America!"
Love your channel ❤ Pure reaction and you don’t pause it every 3 seconds like most do
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback 🙏
honestly ive just been wanting to binge south park but i love your react videos gives me something to watch
Yess this is one of my favorites! This episode really helped shaped Randy’s character in my opinion
Coming back to question at end, my dad was never a big sports fan. Very causal at most. Yet my family having a lot of kids was very much a 4 season sports family. Every kid was doing some sport. So now my brother and I still watch sports even if it wasn't a common thing. Even my sisters have a healthy appreciation for sports as well. Despite neither of our parents really caring for sports.
This was the episode where Butters says "Son of a bisquit!" and I mention that cuz if you go 2 their online shop, you`ll see that they have a lot of the Butters merch w/that quotation of "Son of a bisquit!" Maybe it wasn`t used anymore because the word bisquit maintains a derogatory reference to yuppie jews. As far as Kyle`s ginger, big hair, they`ve shown on it on a couple of episodes.
When you saw Kyle's red hair, you missed Kenny sitting to his left.
Keep these episodic reaction going man, their great!
Dude, you should watch the guitar o queero episode. It perfectly explains what you were talking about at the end. Great reactions btw.
John Avildsen was the Director for a few of the Rocky Movies and also a Few of the Karate Kid Movies so that's why this episode had Music from Both Movie Series.
I didn’t even know the eggs thing was from Rocky but Randy makes it so pathetic I laugh every time
I was in school before the internet, and i hated sports even then. I was always pressured into playing something though. Golf, basketball, tennis, cheerleading, track... there was always something i was more or less forced to do.
Ohhh? First time seeing Kyle's hair like that? Check out the episode "It's a Jersey Thing" You get more kyle hair.
Also don't forget "Butters' Very Own Episode." Doesn't have much to do with Kyle, but you love Butters.
First time Kyle took his hat off was the scool photos episode where Kenny got mistaken for somebody else's missing son because Cartman put his photo on the milk carton..
Ok, so my dad was a pretty crazy drunk, especially on weekends. He got into a scrap once with our neighbour because he hosed their sound equipment while they were having a party because he didn't like how loud the music was. They confronted him outside my front lawn and while they were scrapping, my dads pants fell down just like Randy's. I remember walking outside and seeing my dad just punching another guy and his pants just rolling down. I left back inside the house holding my forehead in bewilderment and embarrassment.
You probably didn't notice Kenny's face reveal, he was the boy sitting next to Kyle. But you spotted only Kyle. I was as shocked at my time)
Really dig your reactions, keep them coming 💪
bro so good your reactions , those are amazing ahaha, hi from a Venezuelan in china
Part of the appeal for video game sports is playing the players you know from the sport itself.
I seen my brother get arrested 20 times for being drunk and disorderly. He always ended up getting beat up by the cops and his pants around his ankles.
12:27, his pants just fall down. Explains all the arrests. 🤣🤣🤣
Mr. Pratt - Leo Sporino
Mr. Varcas - Ricky Conlan
Mr. Marsh - Rocky “Balboa
Mr. Nelson - Bobby Nash
Greeley Father - Danny Wheeler
Pueblo Father - Axel Ramírez
2:21 season 14 episode 9 "It's a Jersey thing" really touches this. :P
Watch "Lil crime stoppers " shows them without hats on again.
Didn't know there is a beach and palm trees in Denver ....
2:23 did you know next to Kyle on the right side is actually Kenny, I’m surprised how people don’t notice that, but he doesn’t really show his face without his head much and he didn’t talk the whole episode, so I understand
Baseball is waning. When I use to drive all over the country for a living I rarely saw kids in the summer playing baseball when I drove through neigborhoods. Very rare. In Massachusettes they were playing lacrosse. WTF!!!
Thanks to this episode I sing "You're the Best Around" in falsetto and gibberish whenever I'm doing work 😂
All kids would rather play video game . I certainly would have when I was a kid. My parents practically forced me to play team sports and I’m so glad they did. My happiest memories come from playing football ( not
Soccer), baseball and track.
Season 16 Episode 6: I should Have Never Gone Ziplining. Easily in the top 5 best episodes of all time. The ending is dumb because they added a "real life" segment, but the animated part is a masterpiece of traditional South Park entertainment.
just an fyi, the kid next to Kyle in the restaurant with blonde hair and the sideways hat is Kenny, one of the very few scenes where you see his face.
"Itt maeks mie think aw Star Trek, II still need tou see Rocky."
2:54 who else didn't notice Kenny with the red cap during their first viewing.
He didn’t even notice kenny with the red hat beside Kyle lol
Had all Rocky 1 - Rocky 5 there. "I didnt hear no bell"
You have to watch episode called "sarcastaball" next
Won't regret that lol
Randy's line at the end "... this is ***". Perfect.
Easily a top 3 episodes of all time
This is from my personal experience yes and no. Some kids prefer sports over video games. I understand this episode 100%. This to an extreme was the relationship I had with my dad. He would want to see us win trash talk to other team and get drunk at hockey games I was just playing because I would see how much joy seeing me and my brother's play would give him. My brothers on the other hand loved the sport and still plays it to this day. So it all comes down to each individual kid. I know many kids that only play video games because their friends play and would never play a single player game. Also you would be surprised how many kids still go out and catch frogs and hunt.
To be honest my kids got me back into the only sport I ever liked. In Australia AFL (Australian Rules Football) is our biggest sport. I enjoyed playing until I got busy with work etc. Then I lost interest in the sport all together. One day my eldest came home from school and proclaimed his love of it. His little brother did too and now I love it more than ever (even if I'm to out of shape and sore to play myself)
So funny no matter if they are trying to lose or win they still have to play baseball and read pitches to achieve that😂
These always make my afternoon! Just got snacks too. Hope you’re having a good one Dash. (Also “crippled summer,” or “dead kids” sometime in the future!)
6:11 one of the few times you can see Kenny w/out his hood. He's got the hat on
My brothers love this episode, they were forced to play sports and hated every second of it. Our dad said it would “make men out of them”. Really, he just wanted them out of the house for hours at a time. My sisters and I weren’t allowed to play ball based sports, we did ballet, gymnastics, swimming, and such…oldest sister also did dressage. Fortunately, our parents never showed up to any of our extracurricular events and we didn’t want them there.
12:27 that’s how Randy drops his pants. Lol
Sports aren’t going anywhere, there will always be people who are willing to get off their couch and go and do something active
that gives sports a whole new look.
