    Bounce! Sway . . . just like the old 4 COR electric units on the Southern's Waterloo to Portsmouth line!! An experience never to forget!!

      Proper seats with springs inside.

    If it had been a TPE 185, prior to the sets being doubled up....most of their history, you wouldn't have to worry about bouncing as you'd be so snuggly wedged in against the next passenger!

    Most likely due to the rails.

    I never saw any of the 142 class or the other Pacer classes but I would be surprised that they could have actually existed going off what people have said about them.

      You can check some of my videos I've done of them and some people love them others hate them but they are they were a rough ride

      The mad thing with pacers is they were bus bodies imprisoned on the railway for decades. When all the bus companies were getting modern buses, these awful things were still serving as a reminder as what old buses were like.

    Still better than a Pacer.

    There's good bounce & there's bad. The old cravens dmu rattling along mid-Wales, great. A 317 bombing along Birmingham - Euston would bounce so hard you could feel the suspension bottoming out & all the seat cushions would detach & fly all round the carriage.

    Err that's what corridor conectors do....Two bogie coaches with lateral and horizontal oscillation, connected with a coupling....that's why the 'bellows' corridor connection move!....not a story....move on

    Not as bumpy as a 142 but still bumpier than I expected. Also very boring train, nowhere near the same character as the pacers.

    • @waynemarshall272
      @waynemarshall272 Před 2 lety +11

      Absolutely!. The Pacers had much more character. Lots of Train Crew actually miss the Pacers too. These new units have many gremlins and i I’ll be surprised if they live as long as the Pacers did. A fundamental flaw is that the Guard could come out of his cab and could operate the doors now on a busy service they have to fight their way down the Train to release the doors.

    You're doing the YT title thing wrong. Normal YT'er titles it's always a no as answer to the question posed.
    Nice vid though, love the conductor coming by.

    Class 195 be like as class 142 being bumpy? NO!

  • @ChineseTrainGuy
    @ChineseTrainGuy Před rokem +1

    Quite obvious, but it's a lot worse than the pacer, these trains bounce like crazy. Worst replacement for the pacers yet.

    Great trains though, perfect for the job they’re intended to do (long distance Manchester to the Lake District/York to Blackpool services where comfort is paramount), they have awful seats and horrible ride quality, but just be grateful, you expect too much 🙄

  • @lokyinszegwrraillover158

    I’ve never 👎 have been travelling 🧳 🧭 on the class 195 trains 🚊 are currently allocated to NT - Northern, however could they be better trains 🚊 than the crappy 💩 2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚊 is because it’s nice 👌 and warm inside the class 195 trains 🚊. All class 185 trains 🚊 have a toilet 🚽 🚻 , standard class accommodation only, no smoking 🚭 accommodation is because it’s prohibited 🚫, luggage 🧳 rack, comfortable seats 💺 💺 💺 , have tables, electric ⚡️ doors 🚪, rectangle windows 🪟, bins 🗑️ provided and are second generation DMU - Diesel ⛽️ Multiple Unit trains 🚊 is operated by NT - Northern that runs daily and public holidays except Christmas 🎄🤶 🎅 🧑‍🎄 Day and Boxing Day. B around perhaps 🤔 Monday 31st December 2040 (New Year’s Eve) 🎉 🥳 🎈 🍾 🧉 🍹 🥃 🍸 🥂 🍷 🍻 🍺 🎆 🎇 🧨 at the latest, all diesel ⛽️ trains 🚊 will be removed from service and replaced by electric ⚡️ multiple unit trains 🚊. 👍

    I don't like them class 195's English trains was better than all this foreign crap on our rail networks sadly!!! I prefer the class 142 as they had more room inside than sardine tin class 195.

      Money-interest and profit spoil *_all_* designs, "foreign" or domestic. It's not country or creed, but social class, that makes trains crap.
