Ex-Cold War 56-bedroom nuclear bunker in Devon goes up for sale

- A former radar station used in World War II and a planned regional UK government escape during the Cold War in the event of a nuclear strike, is now up for sale.
Hope Cove Bunker near Salcombe is priced at £435,000 and auctioneers say the site is getting a lot of interest - for storing cheese and wine.

Im glad the government would be fine in their bunker and everyone else would be fried ... preserving the worst of humanity lol
I went to Finland and was surprised that every single block of flats has its own bunker underneath (complete with toilets, blast doors, rations, medical supplies, etc etc), and every neighborhood will have a public one nearby - it's law that everyone must be able to take shelter. In the mean time, the ones underneath the flats, each person gets there own little bit of it for storage, and the large ones are used as gyms and so on and can be quickly converted. Anyway, a very interesting approach compared to this country.

should be a museum as there are very few cold war bunkers here in the uk that still have there equipment

Hotel called The Bunker. Preserve/restore some of it's history, maybe even partially a Living Museum. Make the rest into slightly updated lodging. Utilitarian, but comfortable. Plenty would stay over, for the unique experience. ..Better have good wi-fi inside. 😆
