    Hi sir I have a limited solar setup that is producing almost 1 kilowatt. I have a Chinese 2 kilowatt square wave inverter. I want to run an electric iron on it. Change the electric iron is 1000 watt but my solar output is 1000 watt. In this 1000 watt almost 200 Watts are used by my all load. So it's been times I have almost 6 to 800 Watts left behind. Change the electric iron is 1000 watt I want to modify the inverter so that its output remains of for 60 to 70% of the time. That is I want to reduce its duty cycle. The inverter is using tl494 at its output and input drive circuits. I have tried adjusting rtct but it seems that the rtct is also connected to some other part of the circuit as a feedback and I cannot adjust the duty cycle I have checked on a oscilloscope it's still the 3% dead time. Do you think that if we are able to adjust the dead time to 50% or more or 60% we can reduce the output power and hence I can accommodate the electric iron.
    Please if you can guide me on this assumption .. and help me identify how I can control the dead time.

      Yes, you can increase the voltage on dead time control pin by increasing the value of the resistor connected between this pin and ground. This way dead time will increase and consequently duty cycle will drop ❤️👍

      Totem pole is a two transistor (NPN+PNP) push-pull setup that are connected in series with each other with their base joined together to run from a single drive signal. When the input signal is low, PNP transistor will conduct. And when the signal is high, the NPN will conduct. Hope its clear now...❤️👍
