How did you remove the thermistor from the heater block on the stock kobra go? I want to upgrade to an all metal hotend (micro swiss) but I can only remove the heater element thus far from the block. Any tips?

What silicone sock do you use since the block is flipped upside down? If you use one

is this compatible with the kobra 2?

did you try thermal paste with the bi-metalic break?

Yes. I ended up moving to a V6 Hotend / bi-metal with a 40x40x28mm fan. I needed to remix a shroud for this setup but its printed without issue for a while now. Hotend parts + Fan is around $15 from Aliexpress, then using a GammaMaster nozzle from Slice Engineering, I got that for $18. This has been on my todo to follow up on.

Also... are you still using the stock heater / thermistor combo?

There are two grub screws holding the heat stink with the heat break. I am still using the combo, v6 hotend with end with bimetal heartbreak.

@joseph-montanez awesome. I see in your video you have the heater element and thermistor removed from the stock heat block - how did you manage to pull out the thermistor?

Mine has become a Stringing mess. I'm tempted just to say buh bye and buy another Ender as they are just far superior.

You can buy a CR-6 Clone Hotend, it’s a drop in replacement $10 off AliExpress and $15 off Amazon. I have a video to finish about this very thing, should be up in the next day or two. A Bi-Metal heartbreak isn’t possible with the stock or even the CR-6 clone hotend but a hobbled together a $15 dollar solution, using a 28x40 fan instead of the 10x40, v6 hotend clone, and a BiMetal heartbreak. But that’s for another video.

Actually I'm wondering is it just the CR6 SE?@@joseph-montanez

Amazon $16 - a.co/d/9vFoTAw - their silicon sock is stupid you need to either cut it or poke holes to be able to screw in the thermistor and heater cartridge. Also need to cut the yellow tap holding the wires since the thermistor is in the back.
AliExpress $10 - a.aliexpress.com/_mPWPxhE this is designed better I like it more than the Amazon one.

@cdnbrit not because the cr6 has different mount holes than an ender 3, at least the official CR6 hotend. These clones have boths
