This was pure magic. I remember watching this for the first time and it has such an authentic feel. Its so hard to find magicians who aren't over the top and genuinely perform magic that makes you believe it is so. I think Will Tsai had that quality. I really wish he makes it far. He's very unique and adds a creative spin too his acts.
You know, Will Tsai said that he studied Magics from Books after being inspired by a street Magician from his childhood. It is just incredible. Humanity and Books.

It's camera work problem. Like they say they didn't actually saw it. It would be different if he had invited one of the judges to the table.
the cube becomes invisible in water, and you can very clearly see that the fish came from the bottom of the bowl that have never been taken off the table, which lets a chance to a trap being put under the bowl

These judges(except for Howie)can only appreciate singing and dancing at most but that is it. Magicians are way too complex for them to understand. I feel so bad for Will as he seemed very hurt at their comments 😭.

I don't mean it's easy for you and me the people who don't work on this field I mean it's easy for those who learn and work as a magician. I have watched this kind of act live for over 10 times. I am not surprised when he was cut. This is lame.

If you did watch magic live for over 10 times then you should know that this was supposed to be part of a long performance which was why it did not seem to make sense as many aspects are missing. But sadly he got cut, however, I still hope he can come back as a wild card.

It looked like they wanted him gone immediately, probably due to him looking like he broke the boundaries of life and death from the religious point of view.

Mishari A. The burned paper flew because it was on fire and hot air rises, it was light enough to fly. I’m surprised the audience was shock about that one because that part wasn’t a magic part lol, simple science experiment.

like it’s obvious Simon saw will doing all those cool things. It’s just because of the fact that the eye thing, the fish, and the fire paper had nothing to do with each other. The act itself was very disconnected and had no story to it.

Only Howie Mandel understood. If they couldn't see properly, why didn't they rewatch the tape. I mean they judged Light Balance on their rehersal footage because they experienced technical difficulties during the actual performance. Also, these judges are blind af if they can't see from there but some chick in the waiting room behind the stage can see it on a screen. What did they not get. His eye changed color while convincing the audience he didn't use a contact lens despite his hands were initially empty. The eye trick was to pretend he tapped into his "magical" abilities. Then he made a live fish appear out of flash paper and an ice cube. If you don't believe that he raised the dead, which is a bit far fetched, you can believe that he made it look like he made a fish appear out of basically nothing in an entertaining manner.

His first coin magic trick was too good and very effective visually, so these trick while great is not cut out for stage magic, its more for close up. He should have chose another trick to perform.
He is so far the best magician ever! How could they not see it? They were so stupid to say those things to him..

I loved that he started with Matrix, and that's what anyone who knows magic was expecting, but then he did something completely unique and used an entirely different method than Matrix but to the same effect. He would do amazing on Fool Us with that trick.

Because the "make a live fish appear" stuff is being done by Teller every single time on their show, and not just one fish but an entire swarm. The first trick at the audition was unique, this was not. Just a lot of props you can buy (smoke stuff etc.) and a non unique trick. I agree, it's a HUGE step back because the audition performance was amazing compared to this.

He overlooked one of the most important element of impressing the audience, the element of surprise. He revealed to the audience at the beginning of the performance that he is going to bring the fish alive. The audience expected he would bring the fish alive right at the beginning, and that was the end of the show before the magic was performed.
Magic isn't real it's a talent and art and this act was amazing compared to other visualises magicians who've been on the show. I'm on howies side with this.

simon u understand only singers and dog acts more. most of golden buzzer goes to singers. rename the got talent to got singer. although singers have many singing platforms like the voice, idol and many more. but other unique talents have only this. u should restrict on singers in this show. most of viewers fed up watching singers and they getting golden buzzer. thats i prefer other got talent shows over AGT BGT.. biased shows for singers only.

I think the judges except Howie have a misconception about what the true talents really are. I understand that this one was not as good as his first audition but his act is really amazing and unique. If the judges keep selecting the acts based on the progression from the audition to the next rounds without considering how good and unique their talents are, I believe that AGT will have the same fate as BGT in the future. Its rating will definitely fall down.
Holy Dragon Good points! I think the judges emphasize too much on getting better and better as you advance, but forget that each act should be unique on its own as well. They are losing sight of how to judge talent which sadly will result in a drop in ratings.
I would love to see Seal perform just one little card trick. Just one. let's see if I'll be overwhelmed by it😒

i think it's the spectator's job to be overwhelmed or underwhelmed, and its the magician's job to overwhelm or underwhelm his spectators, because it is his job. Seal's job is a musician, of which he had been recognized internationally by it, and his job in this show is to judge people and be a spectator, if he didn't feel much about the show, means there's something wrong with the act.
Not trying to degrade Will Tsai, I am very much a fan of his since his first audition, but Simon did told him to improve his stage presence and all that stuff, and it seems he did not really step it up.
Or maybe AGT really did edit most of the incredible parts out just so that people would wholly agree with him being eliminated in this judge cut, so they can allow someone they can make lots of money and fame for having that person coming out of their show. It's a show where the production pick some talented people and have people vote for them anyway.

or maybe there's another guesswork about this too, Will Tsai's first performance was so brilliant and magical that it draws too many unwanted attention as well. So many people made videos on how he did it and some even accused the AGT of conspiring with him by producing an edited video to be showed in the screen during his first performance.
The AGT maybe thought they probably would sleep better at night if they produce a winner that is not going to be so controversial at the end of the day if Will Tsai wins the whole competition, so they should get rid of him first hand by downgrading the second act so bad that Will Tsai don't seems to step it up and impress the judges.
Can't blame them, AGT needs to survive more seasons and if Will Tsai won, later everyone going to start cracking the vault and accusing everyone involved of tempering with the competition, in the end, maybe AGT does thinks they don't need Tsai.
I thought Seal was wrong but that's his opinion. This was GOOD, and the eye changing was amazing.

I believe what he did was a ritual. But the judges didn't understand what all those tricks meant. He should have narrated himself like "to bring my pet fish back, I'm gonna have to do a ritual. Let's light up the candles first. Then I have to summon a demon to help me, which is in my eye now. Then I'm gonna drink the special fluid..." etc., I think that way, the judges could have understood the connection of the act better. I think the act was cool and wasn't quite a step back. It was the lack of communication that confused the judges cuz the judges could be very dumb and stupid to not see the truth.
Exactly my thought. This was really a kind of philosophical act and the judges aren't really ritual experts or anything like that. If he had done that, he would (or at least he 100% should) have gone through. I'd say that act was just as impressive as his first audition.
