I like going to home depot

It’s like Toys R Us for grown men.
Excellent video! Thank you
Pro tip, if you load up your gas fireplace with a bunch of old scrap iron, it will keep the room warm for a couple of hours after you turn it off.
Ours hasn’t been used in god knows how long. I’m afraid to touch it😭🤣
She was like “oh shit 😳” lol
Cool
Should I keep the gas on or turn it off?
I haven’t turned in my fireplace since 4 years ago until Just now. Is there anything I should be concerned about having it on now.
I work on these, most gas fireplaces should be able to work even if they haven’t been used in a while.
Check for a data plate on the unit, it’s a big metal plate that should have lighting instructions.(although not all systems still have them attached) It should also have a make a model on it, Googling that should provide a manual. Lighting the pilot for the first time may be a bit tedious but after that it should fire dependably.
The main thing to look out for is log placement, sooting, & flame color. Gas logs are designed to sit in a very specific way, doing it wrong can damage the logs. A log placement should be in your manual. If your logs are sooting, the fireplace isn’t working properly and you should consult your manual and/or a technician. The flames on your logs should also be about 60% blue, if they’re very yellow, contact a technician. I also recommend installing a carbon monoxide detector in the room of the fireplace (do note they are more reactive than smoke detectors and can give false positive readings)
After that as long as you follow the lighting instructions and manual, you should be good to go.
Hi, I have a very similar gas fireplace with a fire log but it doesn't warm the place. What should I do?

Is that porcelain wood..?or real wood..?
Pro Tip***
