Personally, I prefer Winter time and experience the snow there. We visited around mid January. They celebrate Christmas every January 7-8..

It's soviet monument! NOT russia Georgia frendship monument!!!! Russia ocupied Georgia in 1921!!!
They are just tourist so what the tour guide mentioned is what they believed in and for sure they did some research. If you will look up on Google as well it shows Russia-Georgia Monument or Treaty of Georgievsk Monument which was built in 1983. This signify the ongoing friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia.
Go look it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. 😉
