Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games czcams.com/users/postUgkxECnmSvBSv_NGWx4_ChD73pF3NYZwI2F3 and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
TIP: If you only say shake once, they get it in their head like shake, but if you say it like ‘shake shake shake shake shake’ they learn that the commando is ‘shake shake shake shake’ and they will shake their paw after they hear it like 5 times ☺️🙃

I’m 12 and I taught my 1 year old Shih Tzu terrier mix tricks which are: Sit, lay down, roll over , spin , stand and I’m currently teaching him fetch!
U need to teach my dog how to spin and roll over but I’ll work on it with my dog

What's Trending At least she’s spending time with her dog. In the end, training Shih Tzus are really hard because they aren’t as smart as other dogs and they have a short attention span. So it’s important to keep the dog engaged with the treat otherwise he’ll lose interest. Not only that but she was effective in teaching her dog the trick. Not all dogs are the same and it’s up to the owner on how they teach their dog.

My too he love biteing my hands but worth it cause he so cute
I would try to hold his/hers mouth closed for a couple seconds until your dog/puppy settles down mine was also a biter but this helped ALOT I recommend it to you. Best of luck!
Edit: also not to hard because you don’t want to hurt your pup!

You have to say No Bite and give the dog a toy to chew... it will learn if you are consistent and patient. Praising when it stops biting.

I have a shihnTuz named Zoe who looks so similar to your puppy! She is 8 years old now but when I was around 7 years old she was a puppy and I taught her high five!! She is such a good learner and can learn a new trick in about 10 minutes even at an older age

Mello Series alone? Probably not take it to a boarding kennel or even just have someone stay for some days. I wouldn’t even recommend leaving your dog alone for a day by itself.

My uncle was a extremely excellent dog trainer and the command for the dog should be "Give me your paw" "Shake" should be used when you want them to SHAKE their bodies after bathing your dog. Or not to shake their bodies after bathing and get you all wet. My 16 yr old Diabetic medical alert service dog Cocco knows too many commands to count. Everything my ShihTzu Cocco James does he's been doing since he is 6months old. I am very glad you are starting your pup with training very little. My dog knows his right from his left. I am also disabled and walk with a rolator Walker with a seat. But when I grocery shop.I use a motorized cart.The command to turn left or right is the best thing to teach. He will keep up with the motorized cart very easy. Sometimes he sits across my legs. Simply because he likes the ride. For his age he is still extremely active. Good luck with your adorable pup.

We taught our teddy bear (shih tzu and bichon) how to do a few tricks when he was a puppy and a few years ago. Like sit, sit pretty, come, shake. For awhile I didn’t think he knew shake. Turns out he knows it, he’s just very stubborn 🤦♀️😂
