      I deleted my cat by copping it off and welding a titanium mid pipe for a slip on. You can take it to a good welder, if you have titanium exhaust get it done.

      ry ry now MJS has a midpipe that attaches to the stock bolting system for the catalytic converter. That’s what me and this guy used. It took me all of 15 minutes to cut and put back up there.

    Great bikes.
    I’ve got an 08 with an akrapovic evo, k&n race filter, ecu flash and suspension upgrades.
    100 drag pulls, 20 + track days and 44 000km on tricky mountain roads later still putting down >120whp
    Ill I’ve done is regular maintenance and valve adjustments.
    I intend to reward it with a complete engine rebuild and shoot for 150 whp even though I could just get a 1000cc because it’s been so reliable, I feel I owe it to the bike.

    I ride this bike. The cure for fueling issues below 5 thousand RPMs is simple: don’t spend much time in the low RPMs. Riding on the street between 45 and 75 MPH I use 2nd gear and between 6 and 10 thousand RPMs. I might shift to third on the slab, which is rare. Use the throttle to compress the front, set your entry speed, adjust mid corner lean, add maintenance RPMs, and stand the bike back up. These bikes want to scream. Use earplugs, you don’t want more decibels from an aftermarket exhaust.

    I got my ECU back today from chris. With a completely stock motor and airfilter, an MJS mid pipe and M4 GP muffler, its running very good. Pulls very hard all the way from 3k to redline. Let me tell you this much, its extremely LOUD. You need to think about noise restrictions in your local city. Also it can start to really become an annoyance after an hour or 2 of riding. My bike runs exactly like this bike in the video. Get ready for loud pops and flames. I may try to plug the PAIR system to avoid the slight backfires at certain rpms. I might look into a diffrent muffler. I can tell you this much, if you want a fast bike that will get attention, this is your setup. For 210$, its the single most effective mod you van do hands down. Thanks chris. #mooremafia

    • @ComputerCapone
      @ComputerCapone Před 3 lety +5

      @@redline350zHR MJS performance is gonna have a mid pipe that is used in place of the OEM catalytic convertor once you remove it. There is a huge amount of videos regarding this process and im 100% confident you can do this if you have minimal mechanical skills. You send your ECU to chris in SC, while its out getting flashed you do the midpipe and muffler install and when the ECU arrives you plug it back in and cycle the ignition key 2 times to allow the ECU to register the values on the memory and you can then ride the bike with zero regrets. You will be in a group of very happy motorcyclists. I keep a permanent grin when i ride now!

      Hi I got the same set up on my L6 600.You can rotate the spring for the exhaust servo to fully open no need to take off.If you are flashing your ecu yourself you can disable the O2 sensor if not ask your tuner to disable.I went with ftecu flash kit and had my local dyno tuner re flash the unrestricted tune to make more power and smooth out the fueling.Went from 103 wheel horsepower to 112 wheel horsepower ,if you are dyno tuning it absolutely critical to plug the pair valve so the dyno tuner reads a correct air fuel ratio.

      No you didn’t mess up the engine, it’s fine. By cutting off the pipe it changed the back pressure. That being said your air/fuel ratio is going to be different then when the bike was tuned with the converter on it. The computer is trying to correct it the best it can but will never do it till you show it how by getting a tune .

    Would this be any use for one with a stock exhaust? Regulations make it an expensive hobby here to have a loud pipe😅

      You can prob squeeze a little extra power out of the OEM setup but it won’t be much. The real gains are seen with a full catless exhaust, race filter, smog block plate (when applicable) and THEN tune it.

    Chris apart for sound, volume and weight what differences are there between keeping legal with the cat and getting a Moore Mafia tune and doing a cat delete. How much improvement is there and in what area? Is fuel consumptioninscreased via cat delete? Woolich Racing give stock GSXR750 flashes, and you must have your own stock tunes saved for this common bike that you use for your CPU-only tunes, so why don't you start with one of those on your 2nd run and tune from there? Wouldn't that be quicker? @_@

    So how do you know if you tune just the ecu properly if it's sent to you not having the bike? No disrespect I'm just watching you change multiple things then run this bike over and over to get it to your liking.

    I understand that you fixed the air fuel ratio but did a cat delete, slip on and ECU flash and Dyno time only net about 5-6HP?

    • @redline350zHR
      @redline350zHR Před 3 lety +1

      I want to know this answer also. Ive heard although that is the hp numbers youll get, the ECU flash smoothens out the throttle throughout the rev range and you also lose the weight of the heavy cat

    I don't get how sending an ecu in will actually work being as every bike is a little bit different, for the best tune wouldn't you actually need the whole bike and not just the ecu ?

    • @gsxraiders
      @gsxraiders Před 3 lety

      I dont think it will. If it does rub, you can rotate the neck of the M4 a few degrees clock wise before tightening the clamp. Google the pic of it and you'll see what I'm talking about
