Countless amounts of threads, web pages and employees of Windows could NOT fix this problem and you just did Mr Rayhan, thank you so much.
Finally everything just works perfectly !
This and using Alt + Caps Lock instead of Alt + Shift did it for me. It's a shame that microsoft cares this little about language compatibility.

As everyone else has said, this is the ONLY solution that worked for me after looking at countless websites, forums, etc. Thank you! In the end, it's so simple.
I had to use the google JP input to study, the download from the option of language on WIN11 do not finish the basic typing download. Thanks a lot for the video, i was not know the existence of the google Keyboard from Windows, you save me a OS reinstall. 😉

Hey, I'd like to know why my keyboard hotkeys between hiragana and katakana won't automatically appeared like you did? how do I get 'em to appear automatically as a katakana word.
Mine won't change automatically, instead it's appear as hiragana first, then there's an option below to clicked it as a katakana word.
Please help me
edited : nah nvm, it works like magic man lol. But, can't you tell me about the space setting? I mean the spacing between word kinda too wide. Or is it normally like that?

How about in my case Sir, My Dynabook vc72/d keyboard, some of the symbols are not working because its was set-up into English language.
But i just want to use the regular symbols in the keyboard not totally japanese one just English language
Example the @,(),{},[] is not working.

Don't forget to press enter after you typed using japanese
You can switch back to english simultaneously by pressing the ALT + SHIFT button

i tried this and nothing worked, i had it installed and did every step you told, it wont change out of english only keyboard and i can use the hotkey, i.e. ctrl+caplocks, shift+caplocks etc, im using windows 10, any help?

Check 1:53 or 2:05. There's the blue "add a language" button. Download it from there

It's incredible how every new Microsoft feature takes away control from its users. Doing this disables IME now.

How to install Microsoft IME, because i install Japanese language, but the notification says Japanese IME not ready yet
For Windows 11 Go to Settings -> Time and language -> Language & region -> Click the blue "Add a language" button on the top right and you should be able to get through afterwards. You can ask me again here if you still need answers

@@rizqiat-taubah7643 you did switch back to previous version of the IME? The new version of Japanese IME (which is the one you get automatically after installing) won't let you use hotkeys to change hiragana-katakana-romaji and you have to press the button on the taskbar to change em
