I love that idea! You can do similar with real risers on you staircase. It doesn't get any traffic except an occasional bump with a foot. I love how easy it is and much cheaper than buying dollhouse ceramic tiles.

ModPodge is a bit tricky to use. So I only apply it to more textured or bumpy surfaces. Very realistic area as with all of your dollhouses. What is the general thickness of the houses, please?
@@marvelingabout8240 the Greenleaf kits are still thin, but Real Good Toys brand has always been thicker. And if you design your own you could get whatever thickness of plywood you want. May want to consider the sizes of pre-made doors and windows, whatever thickness they are. So they will fit

I print on glossy photo paper with my ink jet printer. I've not needed to cover with glossy coating

I think this is a Real Good Toys kit, and I believe the thickness of those walls are 3/8ths of an inch
