Production Note: Longest video yet, I think. Seems like just about any triple-changer can be done this way. I wanted to do the same thing with DX9 Hanzo, but I realized there was a problem with that. You see, with a triple changer if a part is stowed in two modes and deployed in one, then the primordial mode would simply match the majority. So you only ever deploy it once when going to the mode that needs it. But with Hanzo... For example, two modes have the guns on his feet deployed and four modes they are stowed. So you would imagine the primordial mode would be the stowed version. But then when you switch between those two modes you’d end up having the guns stow and then come right back out again. There are even worse issues when you consider there are multiple overlapping items like that (the worst being the entire legs stowing for three modes and unfolding for the other three - which is primordial?) Plus if I show all 30 sequences I could end up with a what - 30 minute video? So the plan now is to simply plow through the six modes in sequence and call it a day: Wolf - Plane - Car - Tank - Gun - Robot. That’ll be a long shoot.

If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using the Chrome plugin called "Frame by Frame for CZcams". It turns your , and . keyboard keys into single-frame movement keys. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

My eyes are mesmerized. I love how the nosecone comes together. DX9 seem very underrated. They come out with good designs and they take chances by being the first to tackle many character concepts.
I like DX9. They seem to have some overlap with UT. Clever designs.

In the speed run I do every possible sequence (six of them) strung together continuously with no extraneous transitions.
Thank you for this! I needed to put him in storage to make some space. Since he's much smaller as a tank, I had to get him from robot mode into tank mode, and I could not remember how to do it...

Yep, they are reprolabels. They do look amazing. Those guys always add a nice touch to most figures and I never miss a set. I didn't get to apply the Chigurh ones before sending these out, unfortunately.
Very good. It took me a while, but I finally got to where I could transform this guy without problems. If I'd seen this video first, it would have really helped me!

He is a great-looking Blitzwing with a neat transformation, but I hope he comes with face swaps because that "Eaurgh!" face just seems a bit off to me.

He does. Found it after they left, it's pretty bland though.
While I agree with the sentiment, I think in defense of the figure, a big part of the reason that kind of face doesn't work so well here is because we're watching the rest of the figure moving around it, animated. It stands out more than the conventional straight-faced expression because in real-life this type of expression tends to be transitory, at best. If you imagine a cartoon sequence, an expression like that would only be as brief as the grunt/yell/whatever he's saying, not protracted over the course of his entire transformation sequence. As a static pose for photography or as an expression used to more closely convey the attitude of the character in relation to the position in which it is displayed (e.g. if you had it set frozen mid-action as part of a battle diorama), I'm sure this face could be made to work very well. Crucially though, it would really only work as an alternate face rather than if it were the only one included with this set. This face in particular is rather limiting in terms of display options, at least for someone as pedantic as me. Integrating something like this into one of my existing display scenarios & making that expression seem authentic & appropriate based on what else I'm trying to depict would be extremely difficult.
At least Animated gives you a choice of 3 faces
