The "No-Brand" chips are pretty popular. There's an entire grocery chain in Canada that's in-house brand is "No Name" and uses the same plain yellow packaging. And know what? Their products are usually better than the more heavily advertised name brands.
Not nearly all of them. I've found that most NoName brand stuff is absolute crap. Have you tried their saltines, marshmallows, or corn flake wannabes? Disgusting. Totally worth the extra cost to get the name brand. But their cat litter is just as good as any other. Of course I wouldn't eat that in the first place ...

No-brand is the version of No Name in South Korea. Same concept I think
No Name isn't a _great_ brand these days, but I'd say it's still just a little better on average than Great Value (but not by much). I remember No Name used to be better than it seems like it is now - it's possible that the expansion of the President's Choice line over the years has resulted in corporate decisions that quietly pushed the quality of No Name downwards, to further differentiate the two store-brands within the Loblaw's ecosystem. Either that, or nostalgia is tainting my memories of a time when I couldn't afford better.

Fun fact: The reason scammers will intentionally mess up spelling is because it gets around spam filters. Often emails will use something like a Bayes algorithm and depending on words used, like "money", "transfer" and similar words, it will filter those emails as spam but the machine doesn't understand that "tranzfur" is just a weird spelling of "transfer" so it gets around the algorithm. Some emails will have bastardizations of the word built in but obviously you can't cover everything.
Also, the thing that kept coming up as "concentration camp" is actually a kids show called PAW Patrol and I'll be honest, 80% of their own merch looks like off-brand stuff so if they just got the name right they could probably sell this stuff.
They could just use PAW Petrol and it would almost make sense, because all those vehicles they use require fuel
I'm fairly sure the Paw Patrol one is a case of someone not really knowing English and confusing "construction" with "concentration". At least that would make somewhat sense. 🤷🏼♀😅

Another reason is that people who are less educated are less likely to notice or care about the misspellings and also less likely to know how whatever method they're requesting payment in works. Some scammer recently claimed to my mom that he needed a Steam gift card in order to access a method of messaging his friend in another country so he could get home, but expecting her to know what Steam was, and she wouldn't have if my brother hadn't asked for a Steam gift card for every Christmas and birthday for years.

Posies are significant because they were used during the bubonic plague to cover up the stench of death thanks to their overpowering fragrance (just goes to show just how many people were dying and/or rotting alive during that time). Edit: another thing about the movie was that the main character was a movie star where he'd act in movies as a hero who gets powers from a special amulet. Then they find put the amulet is actually magical so they use its power against the aliens. I don't really remember why the aliens went there but I think it was because they knew about the amulet.

My problem with No Brand is that it's a chain of grocery stores and is a recognizable brand name in South Korea, where it's from. You can tell somebody that you got it at No Brand and people will know what you're talking about. And Canada has the "no name" brand which is also treated as a recognizable brand, even though it's supposed to be generic.

For those who don't know. Here in Mexico we say lonche to refer to the food we bring to school, work, etc for, well, lunchtime! (Idk if other countries from Latin America uses lonche to refer to food tho). Yes, it sounds similar to the word lunch-
Films like Kiara the brave tend to be either other projects they rebranded to looks more like an upcoming film or rushed into production based of a super early add or press release. It’s important they com out before the real thing to maximise the amount of time only the fake version is on sale. While the real thing is cinema only confused people see it and think it’s just a different cover and with no real cover to compare it to buy it and these can even be best sellers in store so they get better self space and by the time the real thing comes out they can discount the offer in the hopes relatives buying presents buy the cheaper option.
