I had a Discovery from 1990 with 2-doors. Sold it two years ago. Sad but in Belgium we don’t have much off-road use of it. More building- vid’s is top!
Always been a fan of the Defender 110, so definitely looking forward to what you turn Thor into,interior wise!!!

Oh god! Has this guy not been to the south of the US? That would be considered small for an off road package or beginner. Still cool just sorta short on the height and tires

Agree the Defender are a design just like the 911. I have done a V8 manual engine swap on my 110 soft top. I’ve fitted a roof tent and use for wild camping. A recent camping trip to the highlands took £600 in petrol. It’s a beast! Enjoy.

You will need to do some serious relocating of the panhard rod as it will bumpsteer like crazy as it used, suggest a longer mount from the chassis end

Watching you make your own 1 of 1 Defender is exciting. Will follow through this build 'till the end. Love this model (new or restomod) but just too expensive in my country.

Crazy how this is "massive" for that side of the pond, but for an American that's the average lifted suv size.
I dream of an upscale Ariel Nomad. Just a tad bigger in most dimensions. Throw in a lightweight version of a Rivian 4-motor drivetrain. With 2 (or3) seats on top of a battery floor (it's inexplicably heavy but maybe the new Model Y one) suddenly there is a bit of space for cargo and road side stuff. Not the range needed for Dakar perhaps, but that would take a pretty silly design that would end up heavy. The bespoke "Mo-mad" could be quite svelte.

The Land Rover looks fun - certainly off-road....on-road it will probably wander around following every camber
I had a 350 c.i. V8 Wrangler Jeep with the monster tyres and lift kit....(very similar to this in height) .... nightmare on road, but a hoot off it!

Well, this is how to totally ruin an iconic shape!!, yes, put in more power and upgrade the interior. But the massive lift just ruins the aesthetics....My humble opinion
I live in Canada so I haven't even seen very many Defenders . The ones I have seen were driven by people I don't like very much . The pretentious think they're better than everyone because they drive a foreign car type .

Personally I don't feel these projects fit with your chanel there are loads of tubers doing proper car mod projects, Yours just feel like a rich kid throwing money at pointless projects. Please go back to the old school road trips and car reviews, sharing the unobtainable with us in your unique way
