sounds similar an has the same structure like the spanish lyrics: "No tengo armas para enfrentarte".
It's kinda like Simlish has it's different dialects! Like the original sims have very American accents, but sims from other parts of the world sound like they have an accent, kinda like how here it sounds like Spanish Simlish.

Can I just clarify that this is in Simlish, the language sims speak, it is neither Spanish nor English nor a mixture of the two, every song you've heard on a sim's radio is also simlish. Sims speak Simlish. It's all they know.

Aww this really brings back memories. I used to play this song all the time in every radio i can find in sims 3. I miss sims 3. Sims 4 is kinda just a cash grab tbh.

It's not like they weren't trying to grab cash in Sims 3 too, but I swear it felt like they at least did more to earn it back then. Some of the Sims 3 stuff packs had more stuff than full expansions do in Sims 4.

The Sims does have a language, but it's called Similish. The original "Manos Al Aire" music is in spanish or italian, but sang in similish version in the video.

The simlish here is definitely spanish "coloured". For example, you have the spanish "j" a couple of times in here, which doesn't exist in other languages. Which shouldn't be surprising, because Nelly Furtado regularly sings in spanish.
That is the beauty of simlish: it is a very clever and balanced mix of western languages. This makes it feel so familiar.

I was in China on vacation (in Sims 3, of course) and I heard the stereo playing this, I was like, MANOS AL AIRE! and Iam surprised to hear more songs I recognize, expecially in the Pop genre. Sims got 100x better :D

The Sims series always had these little, unreal moments, i.e. ghosts (since Sims 1), Alien abductions (Sims 2) vampires (Sims 2 Nightlife), levitation (Yoga, and Bubble machine from Sims 2 university) etc. etc. ...
The Sims never took itself really serious as a life simulator.
