- Radar loop of the supercell that produced two violent, long track, deadly EF4 tornadoes that terrorized portions of Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Kentucky on the night of December 10, 2021.
Several towns were struck by these tornadoes, including Monette, AR; Braggadocio, MO; Reelfoot Lake, TN; Samburg, TN; Mayfield, KY; Princeton, KY; Cambridge Shores, KY; Dawson Springs, KY and Bremen, KY.
The first EF4 tracked roughly from Jonesboro, Arkansas to Samburg, Tennessee, packing winds of 170 MPH and killing 8 people, while the second EF4 tracked roughly from Woodland Mills, Tennessee to Falls of Rough, Kentucky, packing winds of 190 MPH and killing 57.
That hook is insane.
Should have been an ef5. Even the people who rated it agreed that if it had struck more substantial structures or been moving slower it likely would have gained an EF5 rating. The enhanced Fujita Scale is outdated, and does not have enough damage indicators.
@Matterhorn55844thats not true the wind wasnt even close to 300 and the highest winds wernt even 307
stop spreading false info
@Matterhorn55844EF*
@TJ89741not true.
@TJ89741 300+ mph winds would have the chance to literally shift slabs. Nice false info.
@TJ89741 300mph with low resolution radar. Yeah right. That's like saying a 144p video of a dog taking a dump is a wes anderson film.
Awesome I’ve been waiting to see this
That was one of the worst storms Ive seen on radar
Yeah, was defiantly one of the stronger tornadoes observed in the dual-pole era...
bro these comments are pissing me off its not ef5 and never will be the leveled homes are poorly built do you guys not know what poorly built is?
It definitely had the strength to do ef5 damage but it's impossible to 100% confirm it since tiny towns in the middle of nowhere are basically a few little shacks by a road. Leave it to the experts to talk on its rating. Even they know it was beyond 200mph. They just don't have a way to prove it.
Ef5 actually
its not ef5 💀
not even close
I think its close lol, it was violent and buildings were slabbed for over 200 miles, but even if there was definitive evidence of ef5 insurance companies dont want to pay it, so theyll make them rate it ef4. I agree most damages probably werent ef5, but there will be one eventually that will be violent enough@wilbert_WX
@@wilbert_GTit was 190mph. That’s pretty close. I do agree that it is an EF4.
@@wilbert_GTactaully very close
EF-4 LOL. Yeah, and pigs can fly. One of the most powerful EF-5 tornadoes in history right here.
its not ef5
It was never EF-5, It may have had EF-5 level wind speeds but only one home near Bremen supported a high-end EF-4 DI of 190 MPH.
