This is awesome! You should do more videos teaching meteorology! I would love to learn more about stuff like this it’s so fascinating!
He doesn’t even have a degree
@@kayleighschofield891wym by that, what was ur point?
@@kayleighschofield891 he still knows his stuff, a piece of paper doesnt determine anything
Ryan Hall I'm an old lady and don't much care about the weather but I watched you with my daughter and enjoyed your forecasting style very much .Keep it going
2:14 that was a very nice circle.
Thanks for sharing this super useful information. Learning how to read your local radar can save your life.
Great for other useful information as well… like, do I have time to BBQ before the rain comes. Good stuff, radars, simply love them. Thanks again for all the work you do, saving lives, and such.
Right
Very informative. Thanks for thorough explanation. I'm 45 yrs old and I'm just learning about How To Spot A Tornado With Weather Radar Maps.
Oh cmon its fairly simple you just peek your head outside and if theres fast moving winds most likely its a tornado but if its calm youre good.
Like look at this way in a rainstorm and you go outside when its raining you're gonna get wet but if its not your clear
Its all 50/50 baby. Luck is either on your side or someone somewhere in town fucked mother nature and pissed her off and shes coming for great revenge (this is my metaphor on tornado and tornado damage)
@@UmbreonDarkness69 So wind=tornado according to your logic, tornados often can form when it is completely calm outside.
Quick and easy breakdown. Thanks!
Loved this video. Thanks for teaching me something new ☺️
Great teacher and excellent forecasting, and you help so many people THANK YOU RYAN AND THE WHOLE CREW,...............
This helps! I was confused during the last couple of lives. But now I know!!! Ty!
You guys are awesome. Much appreciated and grateful for what you guys do... Keep up the amazing work.
When I was in SW Louisiana 3 years ago there were 4 small tornadoes traveling in a group near my cousin's house. The next day we saw torn up trees and bent guard rails on a small bridge that was in the path.
I live in SW Louisiana and about that time I also had a tornado form in my small town 😂 I have one cousin that lives on one side of a golf field, and the other cousin lives on the other side. This tornado went right through the middle of the golf field and missed both of their houses… but it did throw a tree through their neighbors roof 😬
Sad thing is, I heard there was 1 casualty from that tornado. Our town is small, so almost everyone knew her. I’m just glad my family was okay.
I like to watch my live radar stream from my safe spot. I can usually see which storm is the one that has a tornado in it. I can see how far away it is, and if the storm has passed or not.
You are da' man Ryan. Thanks for your expertise in reading radar.
My daughter is a trained meteorologist . I need to impress her with some factoids she will think I don’t know .
To be fair -I live in tornado alley .
One of my kids went through the first F-5 in Moore , Ok. Years later another F-5 hit it again but people had shelters and were more aware .

Thank you 😊
2 Ryan Hall channels😳😁👍🏻 Awesome!
Watching from New England because of all the tornado warnings we keep getting. Never thought I'd be saying that.
I didn’t know about this channel! New subscriber!
Make sure to check out his main channel. Ryan hall yall
Really great. Thank you for explaining things.
Thank you very much
What radar site do you use
Thanks, even though I already knew this. I’m hoping to go to college and get a degree in meteorology. Even though I am 10, I am OBSESSED with this stuff. I watch every video you post, all videos you have posted, and your live streams. Keep up with the good work, Ryan!
Chase your dreams bro 💪🏻❤️🔥
What software do you use on mobile device? Software on PC/Mac? I'm currently experimenting with Radarscope and Radar Omega, but would love your, and anyone else's, take. Thanks!
All that green stuff mixing with that red stuff is the blender an it's making Nader Juice.
Guaranteed to put some pep in your step.
I don't know anything about looking at tornadoes on Doppler but I always look for a cloud that is shaped like a fist with a wrist,,or a hand shaped like an ok hand gesture,or a backwards coma.
I have a request! If it is possible, could you give a forcast along the entire I-95 corridor from Florida to New Jersey--especially NYC@JFK for Saturday the 9th thru the 15th? I just need to know my safety margins and preparedness. Mahalos!
Homestead Heart recommended you & now that I've seen your channel, it is awesome❣️🤙🏼
What radar site is he using? I cant find any live Doppler radars that have wind velocity. Whatever site he is using looks sweet
Ryan, what is the date of this? At the end you were literally talking about my backyard, and extra points for the proper pronunciation of Adair, even many of our local news stations don't get it right!
what apps are there for the Doppler radar
Dumb question... But is there a way to get a relative vertical column speed on a condensation return from something like mosaic radar? I think there's some interesting data there in what is ascending vs. what is descending as a storm front moves, and perhaps in some cases it might be more interesting than the usual storm relative speed that shows what is approaching or receding from the radar. Get some idea of what updrafts are doing on a leading edge vs. downdrafts on a trailing edge, and perhaps see where things may be bunching up, etc. Maybe the way radars work doesn't allow that, but I'd suspect it would be a matter of somebody with the right access and knowledge being able to create a software filter if they had the needed access to the hardware data. Of course what it reveals is limited by the return resolution, but I think we're there with existing tech.
Is there a way we can get access to these maps that aren’t subscription based? I’m good to pay once, but I just can’t do subscriptions.
What software are you using here.
Quick question are there any consumer apps that show velocity as well as reflectivity?
where can i find a velocity and correlation coefficient radar?
Tom Skilling is proud of you, Ryan. No doubt. 👍👍
Oh I have the $11 a month subscription. And been doing weather with the free apps for years for a limited amount of people.
All geology can be duplicated in the lab using plasma discharge. Mountains are layed down by hypersonic winds and charged dust in a plasma discharge event. We have mountains here in Thailand that have a "hook," on the trailing end of the fused rock deposit. Thunderstorms are also essentially electromagnetic events and follow the same pattern in a fluid dynamic form rather than a geology forming event. You can check out Google earth, the chain of mountains just west of Mukdahan, Thailand. They appear as clouds might on a weather radar screen. I have found tektites and petrified wood wood there indicating that "fossilization," is also an electromagnetic plasma discharge phenomenon. Not a time and pressure yarn that can easily disproven in the lab. Organic tissue would not hold its identity for even 10 years under simulated pressure. Yet there are fossils of trilobites and crabs with soft tissues intact.
1:25 how can you tell its the inflow?
Where is the best websites to see radars?
The United Cajun Navy are putting together an insane storm chaser team and we would love to work with you!
I can’t wait until you have your own channel on cable
I don’t think he ever will

Ok, I really want to understand this. I keep hearing everyone using buzzwords like "rotation". My understanding of rotation is air going in a circle. Now most people would signify that as a tornado, because the air is going from N to NW to W to SW to S to SE to E to NE to N (in a full circle). But yet what we see on the radar is air going toward each other (from opposite directions). How is this a circle? I can understand that when 2 streams of wind go toward each other, that there is no way they can continue to do so unless they rotate around each other which will produce rotation. Matter of fact I would venture to say that most rotation is up/down/sideways rather than N/W/S/E. Perhaps what bothers me is that people look at the radar and say, "We have rotation", but the truth of the matter is that what we see on the graphical image of the radar is an area of conflict. We don't see the rotation in the velocity map, we see the conflict. We just happen to know that rotation is something that happens in order to resolve the conflict. Now, I am not a weather forecaster by any stretch of the imagination. Please help me to understand how weather guys can say, "Oh look, we have rotation". Maybe using the word, "conflict" is a better way to put it, and then at that point in your video you can explain how conflict is resolved. BTW, #ryanhallyall I absolutely LOVE your channel!
I wish i had that radar on top right
Same idk how to get it

Dang, you talk fast. I put speed on 75%, and you still were a tad fast.

I do not get it. All I see are are bricks of color.
Lol. If this channel entertains you… go get some friends. Literally there are streamers… not playing video games, chasing occasional thunderstorms that aren’t even in your county. Lame
