Riding to the Heart of Motorsport: Assen Road Trip Adventure on my Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP

- So, the final track day series of the year is here and it was a Euro event held at TT Assen - The Cathedral of Speed!
I decided to use this opportunity to actually ride with my gear and luggage from the midlands in UK to Harwich, catch a 7 hour ferry and then from Hook of Holland all the way to Assen in less than 18 hours all on Sunday 24th Sept 2023.
This video documents that journey and proves the Hyper is more than capable with the right modifications. However, I will state it was hard work and holding that throttle for over 6 hours without cruise control gives some serious arm pump!

Nice vid m8. I had to give up the dream of gettin the sphyper, for now hopefully, couldn't wait so went for a 2021 gsxs10000 had it a couple of days and it's awesome I'd like you to swing a leg on on one and tell us wot you recon. I'd love to see it ✌️✌️keep rockin 👍
Its like a hyper naked i guess.. similar to an MT10 in power/weight.. looks a good all round bike
would be better if no music or less music especially on that ships ride, the ambient sound entering the boat n exiting etc etc
always a tough one to have music over sections which i think might be boring to the audience - hit and miss i guess
Welcome in Holland! Quick question. Your headlight is not stock, LED I guess? Can you share the product? + you drive with high beam? Does it only has high beam?

Yeah probably not ideal for visbility but lucky theres lots of tree’s that break it up 😎

Sides fine.. its either the exit gas or where it may have rubbed against the side of the end can - or a combination 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

@@voidbsky7611 I use a fixed gopro mount on the undertray with the J-hooks and attache the straps there..
Rear light or i fix a gopro mount to under tail and use that

Great video, great to see the hyper can be use to travel long distance lol. I've been watching your videos now for few weeks since I recently bought a Hyper 950, looking for ideas on mods and stuff :P
Question about the Hyper, in low rpms the handle bar shakes a bit too much for my liking, so I was wondering if that is normal on a two cylinders? or in the Hypers? Same when I'm driving fast and let go the throttle it shakes a bit much too. I'm in the break in period so, I'm thinking is that but what is your opinion?

It does have a tendancy to do that.. I have all but eliminated it by adding a steering damper and softening up the suspension (to my rider weight)

I’ve done the LED headlight upgrade after watching your video before, and also get the flashing blue main beam icon on the dash. It seems to work ok, so I’m not sure what causes it to do that???
Its weird when it catches your end the bright blue light 😂

Yeah - still not been back to dealer to sort it. Weirdly light didnt come on once around the track 🤷🏾♂️
