    Btw the horse that died because of her negligence, her name was Grace. And she was a sweet mare who did not deserve Maria’s abuse. Rest in peace Grace, it seems you might be getting your justice after all.

    • @banananer16
      @banananer16 Před 3 lety +265

      Go to her page; just today she posted pictures of Grace and her foal, talking about how Grace was such a good broodmare when the poor mare is so starved she's literally a bag of bones. Even the foal is horribly underweight! Maria also posted videos of ANOTHER starved mare with SEIZURES and horribly trimmed feet who apparently a "vet" just cleared to be a broodmare! She sees all her horses as objects to abuse and make her a quick buck. We're all "snowflakes" when we point out that she should not be allowed near horses. She needs animal control called on her immediately.

      I don't believe a mounting block is the answer here, young lady needs to learn how to communicate with the horse and do nothing but pressure and abuse him you don't even know what the hell you want? Being assertive and a bit aggressive is different from pure abuse and again she doesn't know how to give clear instructions blaming the poor horses is typical of abusers.

He easily took the saddle and was doing great. She decided to lunge him in a round pen and he reared up a little bit and she managed to flip him backwards on his back. Her reasoning was that it would teach him not rear. My grandma was FURIOUS. Yeah she told her to leave. He ended being a wonderful horse and was excellent to ride. There is no reason to use aggression and harsh training methods.

      and one year at fair Peta struck our county fair. Let all the animals out. 4 little girls lost their rabbits because the top cages had be opened and they had jumped to their death. A steer had be "euthanized" as was found by camera surveillance and the entire hog barn was set loose and herded onto the open road to "freedom". I officially will never respect Peta and they frankly need to be shut down. They're murderers and abusive towards people's hard work and loved animals but do nothing helpful in real abuse cases. 😒😐

I’m very pissed and upset that someone would even think about hurting a horse let only an animal. My horse has taught me so much in the last few months and I was very scared working with him because of that abuse but once I knew I had his trust I haven’t looked back and I’ve worked a lot. He had been mentally and physically abused by many of his previous owners, he had shoes on that he didn’t need AND they were the wrong size, he never got his teeth down and so me and my parents have spend lots of money on his teeth, he had so many problems but we are working on them and he is a lot better.
    Edit: thank you for all the sweet reply’s about my horse. I had received a message from one of my friends that found a website about my horse and it had said that he has won the Morgan Sport Horse Under Saddle at the 2019 western NY Morgan Show!! And he is coming along amazingly in his training! I have recently gotten him to bend to the inside normally and properly! He is doing amazing and I love how he’s been growing! This makes as much sense to me as it likely does to the horse. I start all in a halter with a one leadrope stop on either side. I use a mounting blocks and teach them to square up. I gently put my weight on and retreat when they stand nice. Put my weight on another 10 seconds longer and retreat, eventually I will swing my leg over and allow the horse to take a few steps before using the one "rein"/leadrope stop in a halter and dismount to show how good and rub and pet the neck for a minute and that may be as far as we go on a first ride. When a bit is introduced I have two featherweight 20ft lines where I am teaching the horse to give to pressure gently and release before I ever ride with a bit. They also get time to just wear it and get used to it while we do exercises we have done for a long time to see that a bit wont hurt us. Never had a horse act like that when I have started them properly. They normally want me to ride more and push the schedule I have faster. In a case of abuse I go slower and more reps due to needing confidence building and not having a complete history so I want my lessons well taught and implanted in their brains.

I do things like back with just a finger pressure on the lead, move the shoulders, and hips both directions, stand at the mounting block and every training session ends with a rub on the forehead. Humm so she threw Christianity into this mess. Well if she knew the bible then she would know that animals are to be revered and treated well. God saved more animals from the flood than humans. There are countless mentions of how animals are to be treated in the bible. This woman is not a trainer and she needs to learn how horses think and how sensitive horses are. He could also have physical problems that she hasn't noticed. She is awful. And her trying to defend her abuse and "good boying" him later on just pisses me off. She knows nothing about horse behavior.

      Exactly!!! "Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast,
      but the mercy of the wicked is cruel." Proverbs 12:10. In addition, we're even advised to break the holy day -- the sabbath -- for our animals' needs! No one can call themselves a Jesus follower -- or even a person of faith for that matter -- and abuse animals

    • @CeruleanStar

      Snowflake as an insult says far more about the person saying it than anything about the person it is used against.
      It doesn't matter what the other person did or said. The term is commonly used whether the people it is used against are emotional or logical. You can back your side of a debate with proved scientific fact and still be called a snowflake if the other person doesn't agree with you.
      What this means is most people simply use the term when they get defensive. It is a reflection of the emotional state of the person using the term. It shows that they are unwilling to listen to the other side with an open mind and that they are likely unwilling to truly reflect on why they do, say, or believe the things they do and are therefore less willing to improve as a person. In other words, it implies a lack of healthy introspection.
      Everyone gets defensive sometimes. It's natural. Not usually healthy, but natural nonetheless. But I always find it odd when people use 'snowflake' as an insult because when they do so they are more insulting themselves than the other person.

    I tried to get riding lessons one time. Saw the mother of the girl who was teaching me do something like this when a horse panicked to get out of the paddock because he was scared of the other horses there (one was a bully).
    Something felt very very off about it. I left soon after, mostly because I didn't have the money anymore, but I think I would've quit soon anyway. The way they kind of bullied the horses didn't feel right, but I didn't know anything at the time. I still don't know much, but I know more.
    I hope you keep doing videos like this because it helps people like me who are just starting out know how to spot abusive behavior.
