    Hello Friends!
I’ve been using my Haier Washer/Dryer Ventless Combo Unit for over a year and a half now and I thought it was about time that I share my thoughts on it and go over how to use and maintain it.
Spoiler alert…..I really like it. Yes, it washes and dries smaller loads than conventional washers and dryers but for a tiny house on wheels the convenience and small size more than make up for that.

I've had mine in my condo for 7 years and I LOVE it! I have it in my guest bathroom. The installation was easy and it did not require any special plug or out of the ordinary plumbing. I am religious about it's maintenance and every month I do clear out the water and filter. I never had to have it serviced (knock on wood). The drying is more like steaming, which I love because it removes wrinkles. And my towels actually do dry fully in 2 hours if I do not overload. I am extremely happy. You did an awesome job with your video explanation. Cool to watch even after having mine for 7 years! It has been a game changer for me! 🙂

Great info. I agree with hanging clothes to dry. In this climate, any moisture is good. Currently I have a portable washer that works great, less water and electricity usage.

Great video. Draining the drawer - most seem to have a place on blue to press, to fully release drawer, but check manual - just after washing, also helps the machine to dry out more quickly.

I bought some tablets off a YT commercial for my Mom’s washer to prevent mustiness. You put one in a month to a load of wash without clothes & it’s supposed to rid the washer of the odor for a month; comes w/30 tablets. Don’t know if I can recommend bc I don’t think she’s used them yet but I’ve told her to leave the door open, which she does.
Adelina, do you have the scented Tru Earth detergent sheets? I bought unscented bc they got btr reviews but I’d rather have a nice fresh scent as long as it doesn’t smell like a toxic perfume. Ty for tip to rip up sheets into pieces; I didn’t know that! You’re aces as always!💙💫🌀

Learned a lot from this video! I live in a condo but have been watching tiny house videos since I retired ten years ago. I have downsized twice over twenty years and think I could thrive in one. Anyway, laundry... my units are squeezed into a tiny laundry closet in my kitchen which I truly don’t mind. I use a tension shower rod over them to hang socks, kitchen linen, etc. I have an ikea drying rack that I put on my screened porch in warm weather for towels, lots of things. Also got an extra long drying rack from Amazon that I put my sheets on in warm weather!! Love the smell of air dried sheets! Thanks for all your tips!

Finally!!! It has come to Canada! It is about time! It is called fussy logic. I first saw this sort of washer on T.V. when 60 min. or such like went to Japan and they were showing their washer/dryer units there about 20 years ago.

  • @DelilahJonesImaginePublicity

I was lucky enough to find the same Haier unit in a small appliance store that no one wanted! I had been researching and actually looking for one when I walked in there and saw it as a display. (owner said it had been in their store for a year and a half!) I've now had it for about 2 months and couldn't be happier. I do use the dry cycle more than not, but have used wash only and was amazed at how quickly my clothes dried just hanging on my rack. Thank you for cleaning your "trap" so now I know what to do when the time comes!

I have one of these combo units as well, and I really like it. My home is small, 800 square foot. No laundry room, the washer hookup is in the kitchen. When I bought the home, I bought a used stacked unit, but there was no direct way to vent. So did by best until these units became available in the US. I had read about them somewhere. I have had mine for about 7 years now, and I love it. I purchased a pedestal for mine, which I kind of regret. I have no access to the back of the unit, and I cannot move it, so very heavy. I have had appliance service people come out when hose needed replaced, they had trouble moving it also, because the unit is in a tight space. But all in all I love it.

This was helpful as I’m new to front loaders. I saw you put your detergent on the left and was like what? So I googled the manual for mine and realised I’ve been putting my detergent in the prewash section, then fabric softener in the wash section, because they are labelled I and II. I also didn’t know my cats hair was gathering in the seal.

My Danby Designer washer is over 20 years old and still works great, though I've had to replace the drain hose and inlet valves. It only holds half that of a full sized washer, but will handle everything except quilts.
I didn't know it had a lint filter (there was nothing in the manual) until I saw a fellow on CZcams remove the top of the agitator and pull it out. So I found mine.
I hang socks and underwear on a freestanding towel rack with three bars, and hang my shirts and leisure pants on hangers on a clothes rack on wheels. My jeans hang from a couple of belt loops on the hooks at each end of the top rack.
I do have a small bedroom closet, but it has shelves up to the hanging rod, so wet and dry clothes stay on the rack, separated by a few hangers in the middle.
I've been thinking about a washer/dryer combo, since it's a 45 minute drive to the nearest laundromat, but until then I'll either go there for quilt washing or stomp them in an aluminum washtub in the back garden, hang them on the clothesline and hope it rains.
Thanks for pointing me to this video.

Thanks so much! That's exactly the overview I needed! I live in a very small home and as I am getting older I am wondering why I am using full sized appliances for myself and spouse. We just replaced our fridge with a Haier and so far I am loving it and would be confident to purchase another appliance from them. Thinking of removing our dishwasher and putting this in instead. The idea of having this handy in the kitchen and doing a load of wash every day makes so much more sense than washing dishes for 2 people every 3 days!
Also, I have to say that shower curtain and drying rack octopus are ADORABLE! And you answered my questions on the cat as well. :)

I have the LG 2.4 CF model and I love it. Thank you for the honest review. Note that mine is plugged into a 110 v outlet (USA), and I think yours is, as well. This is important for a lot of people who consider getting something like this to know. Also, if it's used by a small household (i.e. two person), you might as well use it almost every day. This size of a combo washer/dryer is not made for a large family (with children, for example) as you can't and won't want to devote one day for laundry.

I have separate washer and dryer. But my dryer isn't vented. We're not allowed vented dryers in our condo building. The building is very old. But we were allowed to have our suite plumbed for a washer and also have 220 wiring put in. Our dryer is a heat pump dryer. I love it. I might not like it, if I compared it to a regular in suite dryer. But when I compare it to schlepping my laundry down to the basement, possibly having to wait for an empty machine and needing to have loonies and toonies on me, I absolutely love my washer and heat pump dryer. The brand i have is Blomberg. It takes longer than a regular dryer, and there is a filter that you have to rinse out every third wash. But those are small downsides, in my opinion.

I do like Haier products. I own a small chest freezer. I would get another one next time. Except, it would be an upright. Now, you have sold me on the all in one washer/dryer (I live in a small home and I think it would work for me).

The Ikea octopus!!! "If you think I bought it 'cause it's cute, you're right!" 😂 Same here!!! I'm alone and use it 2x a week so it was a great investment! Thanks for your videos! I love 'em!!!

I’ve always wondered about those machines, so thanks for the info. I did think they were bigger though. I personally always hang my bras year round on a hanger something like yours in the bathroom ( although yours is cuter) and certain tops because I love the smell from hanging out doors and to stop shrinkage. Stay safe. 👍🏾💯❤️. Hugz

Thanks for another great video. I also have a front loader, when you didn’t pull off the white plug to drain the water I’m thinking no,no, when you turned the black cap. Lol.

Hi. I’m in England and have a washer dryer. I would love separate if I had space but our houses and kitchens are generally smaller(ours is 3m by 3m). In uk we tend to dry outdoors as much as possible. I tend to only use the dryer to fluff up towels when they are nearly dry. I find the dryer takes ages compared to you tube videos I watch from America. Also their machines seem much bigger too. We have a touring caravan for getaways so love watching your channel.

Hi Jo! Yes, that’s what I do as well. Dry outside in the summer and just fluff. Works great for one person I think. Take care ☺️.

I have enough space to have a separate washer & dryer. I do use my dryer. I also leave my washer door open & I dry the inside down with a cloth. It was suggested to me to also open the area where soap is dispensed as moisture can collect there. My units are in my basement. My cat likes to go down there sometimes. When the washer door is open I do not let him down there. I also do not think he'd jump in but cats are unpredictable. 🐈

Very handy setup even better if you could reverse the swing of the washer door.

I enjoy your videos and have been following you for a while now. I’m 73, single with heart failure so Ive made some changes. I, like you, lived in a larger space, a house for 48 yrs in Seattle. I now live in an Intershelter Dome, insulated, 314 sq ft in back yard of my daughters family. Im on an island in SE Alaska. I had a condo here, which was nice, but I like more seclusion. I do have a storage unit still. I love my cozy dome. I bought a stackable washer/dryer but its not hooked up yet, and requires drilling through to vent. Which we can do, like we did for my propane waterless on demand water heater, which I love! I have researched the combos like yours but not lately so was interested how you get along with it. The complaints were that they don’t dry the clothes. I don’t want to hang up clothes to dry, but after watching your video I get the impression if I just fill it half way, it will dry? Am I correct on this? Love your beautiful and so well designed tiny home! You are methodical, smart, and so creative with your colors and decor. Love it. Thank you for your hard work on these videos, very helpful. Granny in TinyHomeAlaska

Hi Liz. Yes it will dry if you fill only to 50% capacity. It does take longer because the drum is smaller. Take care 😊🙏🏼

I got my combo yesterday, it says in the instructions book you suppose to empty the water out & clean the filter once a month. If you don’t do it regularly it could catch fire that’s what my instruction book said.
Thanks for showing how to use these washer/ dryer combo.

It DOES exist! I had always wondered why this wasn't a thing, but it turns out it is a thing after all. My wife and I are building a small home and this will be perfect for saving space. Great content, thank you!
