Dogs fighting over food

Two dogs fighting over food can be a very challenging issue.
We are the leader, and responsible for giving dogs structure when living together! Without structure, we are raising a 4-year-old boy that puts his feet on the coffee table, smoking a cigar.
I am choosing to manipulate the dog that actively tries to get into the other ones' food- not reprimanding the one that would rightfully defend HIS food. It clearly shows that the electric stimulation from the collar is NOT SHOCKING, it just interrupts the behavior and is accompanied by a verbal negative marker that marks the undesired behavior very clearly.
