I remember using this line quite frequently in the late 40's and 50's going from Hallatrow witb mum to visit relatives in Brislington. I remember a bus strike and I had to catch the train to Temple Meads for school for a whole week Bliss!

Hello Colin. I would have loved to have taken the train over the Pensford Viaduct. Regards Dave.

The train went really slowly over the viaduct, Pensford station was very close.

Bottom of Bloomfield Rd then Sandy Park under the Bath Rd near the Lodecka and Cenotaph then the bottom of Talbot on to Brislington Station and The Jam Factory. From there across to West Town Lane and between Sturminster Road and Hazelbury Rd to Whitchurch Winding down to Pensford.

Robertson's factory never used the railway line despite being situated right next to it!

Hi - On the Bristol & North summerset line there was a bridge that crosses Bloomfield Road (Brislington). Any ideas what that bridge was called? I'm trying to find ground level photos of that. Cheers for any help!

As far as I know it was called Bloomfield Road bridge. I remember it but do not have a ground level photo. Regards Dave.
