Once again I'm absolutely astonished and so grateful for the way the Lord has used you and an exact turn of phrase that you used in an inspired way to testify to me that He's very aware of my situation and that He loves me. Thank you for teaching with the Spirit and for so generously giving your time and preparation for us. I pray that you and your family will be blessed.

So thankful for Alma’s discourse on the priesthood. It really helps me understand that I was chosen in the preexistence and that I have a calling and duty to help the Savior with his preparations for our eternal lives. Will present some his words at our Elders quorum presidency meeting this evening as the spiritual thought.

Such remarkable comfort, reassurance and hope in these lessons. I will eternally praise and give glory to Heavenly Father for pouring out his profound blessings through Jesus Christ, his sacred scriptures and Holy Spirit. That in this life I'm not condemned to always live in darkness, fear and ignorance. How blessed all mankind is to have God's living prophets, apostles and servants to help guide his children in these last days. Thank you Brother Halverson for being an instrument of Divine will and sharing your insights with others.

I just needed to go through this again. It is so helpful as we wait upon the Lord to trust His timing. To realize that Amulek, upon conversion didn’t have everything happen perfectly but just the opposite, and yet to see him hold on to faith in Christ. Just a perfect chapter for our day.

I haven't watched this yet, but I wanted to make a comment after I read this coming week's lesson in the Come Follow Me manual. I wanted to learn more about D&C 25, as President Nelson mentioned in his talk "Spiritual Treasures". I went back to listen to your D&C sections 23-26 lesson. Please write more poetry. I understand how important it is to each one of us to try and be humble about things we've done, or written, or anything else so that we don't vaunt ourselves, but the poem you wrote was beautiful, and almost brought me to tears. I had never once thought about the song that the Savior Himself might sing. I'm so glad I studied the lesson before I listen to your podcast tomorrow. Your poetry is a spiritual treat. God bless you for sharing your many talents with each of us this week. Listening from Arizona.

What I find even more fascinating than Zeezrom’s name in relation to the bribe he offers, is the significance of the silver/metal refinement process.
All through scriptures we see this. Silver is impure, it is then heated and pounded until it shines, is removed from the fire, and can be molded and shaped.
Zeezrom underwent a similar process: he was wicked or “impure,” he was humbled through hearing the gospel and being persecuted by evil people in Ammonihah, he becomes sick with a “burning fever” and was “exceedingly sore,” he is then miraculously snatched from the “fire” of sickness and condemnation by messengers of God, and he is molded into a missionary and servant of the Lord.
Truly inspired Zeezrom is “one of silver.”

Brother Halverson, you know how God dwells in "Eternal Now"? 17:06 time stamp. He exists at the speed of light. At the speed of light time ceases to exist and past, present and future become one, become 'now'. Thank you for your gift. You are so loved and appreciated!

    • @disciplesofjesuschrist2026
      @disciplesofjesuschrist2026 Před měsícem

The speed of light is terrestrial and dross and has no match to glorified light. God lives in the Past Present and Future simultaneously (Doctrine Covenants 130:7)
The light that Moroni ascended in was not the speed of light.
Traveling at the speed of light, to reach our nearest star Proxima Centauri, it would take 4.2 years.( there is not such person in mortality or spaceship that can travel that fast or that far anyway)
To reach our nearest Quasar, which is about 20 billion light years away and outside the Celestial kingdom, as it too is terrestrial, it would take 20 billion years to arrive there, traveling at the speed of light.
Quasars are more than one hundred thousand times brighter than every star in or galaxy (The Milky way) COMBINDED.
You see speed of light has limitations, including TIME. Angels are not subject to time as in traveling nor the speed of light which also has its limitations.
When the hydrogen and the helium of the Sun expire, or as in the Book of Revelation, when the Sun refuses to shine, there will be no speed of light from our Sun.
The speed of light is the tortoise while the light of Glory is the hare. If Moroni came by the speed of light, he would be late, by a few trillion years.
The Gods and their messengers move by thought. Isaiah 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely AS I HAVE THOUGHT, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.
Moving from Past Present and Future as though they are already there before they left.
The Sea of Galilee is about 8 Miles wide (13 km) John 6:21Then they willingly received him into the ship: and IMMEDIATELY the ship was at the land whither they went. Not rowing time of about and hour, but immediately.
Time is limited to go into detail concerning Glorified Light and Terrestrial light and the beings who travel by thought but suffice to say, here is not the time nor the space or even the light that will diminish when it goes down over the horizon.

Alma’s trip to ammonihah taught me much about how important multiple witnesses are to us of truth Alma 9:2 and6 show the people understand the law of witnesses and then Alma lists witnesses they already have spiritual and physical.
Then on his 2 nd trip to them amulets is given a witness. A man they personally know and respect as honest.
Another thing that you didn’t mention was that amulets had women and children and others in his household. 10:11. So his family was probably apart of those burned 14:8-11 if not they were killed by the lamanite attack. So amulek literally lost or gave up everything he had for the Lord and truth. 15:18. He could have gotten bitter but didn’t. I admire him alot

His deliverance came ALWAYS in the end, on His Way and Timetable...Certainly not always the way I hoped and prayed for , but It only has made my Faith in Him grow stronger. In His loving hands I feel safe!

You say that people must repent to stay in God's presence, this is important for sure, but God never leaves us. We are saved by faith and faith alone; it is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8. Once we believe in Jesus Christ, through Him we receive many more gifts, such as knowledge, love, righteousness, wisdom, etc. It only can come from Jesus Christ, we cannot do it alone, even if we repent. Once we have received His love, we begin to love Him, and with this great love, we do not want to displease Him, so we obey Him and through this obedience, we become like Jesus. All this happens because He shed His blood on the cross, He died for us., this is the only real covenant.

To understand, the Holy Ghost is the guide and your best reference point is The Book of Revelation as understood by few.. There is an 'alliance' which has been formed by seven nations and they are not countries in the north that will descend upon Israel but that they will descend from the north, let this suffice
