Is it safe to use statin in the fatty liver with Dyslipidemia and raised ALT?

    In a systematic review and met analysis, including 22 studies with 2345 NAFLD patients. In all interventional studies, except one, patients had raised ALT, AST and GGT at baseline. ALT, AST, and GGT were reduced after statin treatment with a percentage mean difference of _35.41%, _31.78%, and _25.57%, respectively, suggesting liver safety of statins in NAFLD patients.
