Just bought mine. 2 x AC300, 2 x B300, 1 x P030A. I will use these as 2 separate UPS' until I get a critical loads panel installed. If the grid goes down, I can recharge from the Secure Power Supply (2000 watts) of my SMA grid tie inverter through the day if the sun is shining . Between HOBO's and Will Prose's reviews, I'm sold. This method beats the other, more expensive, set up I was considering. Let's hope I made the right choice.

While the latest Bluettis offering 240V inverters give me some buyer's remorse, Bluetti has been quick and helpful with refunding the difference when better deal showed up shortly after I bought an AC300/B300 system, and just this week gave me solid support troubleshooting what looked to be a dead AC300, and got me back up and running. Thanks for giving a solid review to help with the decision!

My father was an engineer . He worked on solar panel projects in the fifty's and sixty's . He said it was promising then and we kept on until it was lost in Chinese trade agreements .
He when charging used two lines , a twenty amp with fifteen amp kicker line switched in together and after twenty seconds listening for all the relays kick up turn the fifteen amp supply off running on just the twenty amp line . Kind of like you cheating the inverter .
The digital controls circuits are much cleaner in operation . Untold savings over the years of use and improvements . Thanks for keeping us up to speed Dad .

One knows your reviewing a good product when the "Starship Enterprise" doesn't get blown up! 💥
Bluetti has been so good to work with they've allowed me to transfer my backing for the pair of EP500Pro's I had earlier ordered to a nice bundle of these units here. What a Godsend that was, being modular really is a game changer 👍 So I'm in! Also I recently sent a couple of my friends your way to help them with their Bluetti questions and interest I'm sure they will find you as interesting and entertaining as I do. As always "You know what to DO!" 🐈Go clean the litter box🐈

    I have 2 AC300, 4 B300, & 6 PV200 panels. It was a package deal. Been running it as a mobile power bank as I haven't wired up a sub-panel just yet.
While each panel is rated at 200W, times 6 = 1200W, the actual output peak is 1010W, with 70% of the day near 980W. The wireless app is a nice touch. I've discovered that the batteries have to be wired together exactly as the owner manual shows in the illustrations. Can confirm it doesn't work otherwise. I found it necessary to label each port & each cable end so I can easily attach everything quickly. Without that it's a real frustrating puzzle. Such are the issues when using this as a mobile power bank.
One run of my dishwasher, a 2 hour cycle @ 1050W, uses 40% of 1 battery. Running my window AC for 2 hours also gobbles 40% of 1 battery. I can easily see the need for more solar panels. While the ads for this package say the batteries will recharge in 4-5 hours using only solar, that simply isn't true. 5 hours, from 12pm -5pm, added only 30% to the batteries in mid-July. Today I'm trying 10am-5pm to see what I get, but I expect a max of 50% for all day. I have trees all around my house & 10-5 is the zone of sunlight in my yard.
The long-term plan is to roof mount. However... adding tracking mounts is looking very interesting.

Was it caused by a faulty battery you were using, the firmware update, the use of one battery versus using two or more, or some other component or operational factor? I, like many, are eager to hear of your findings. Thank you so much for all the testing you perform on solar and other products, and for sharing your knowledge, insights, and experiences so that we all can make wise purchasing decisions and best use of the products bought!

First, you are by far the best reviewer out there. Your reviews are the most informative, in-depth and entertaining. I want to plug the AC300 into AC and plug my fridge and freezer in to the AC300. Will the UPS stay turned on and switch to battery power after an outage? I had the Qukitel P2001 and after 7 days it turned off the AC function and I almost lost everything. I returned it. Am wondering if I can use the AC300 to ensure that when we are away for a while the AC ports will stay on. Also, can I use Solar to reduce my electric bill? If you have a moment, I would really appreciate it and think many others are wondering the same.

It depends on the load - I guess such a large inverter has the best efficiency at 50% load - meaning at 1500w continuous. If you pull DC you should get better numbers. But you are right 70% efficiency is not good enough

@@HOBOTECH Love your vids, but " Runs circles around the Titan"? I don't see it, but I am in the market, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.....do a comparison video and show us why this unit is superior and Runs Circles around it.
To me, the two generators seem very similar in design and in features and benefits all the way down to the Input and Output jacks, modular system etc.
But here are just two important data points for me.....
The Power input for Solar is only 400 Watts greater on the Bluetti. It is 2000W on the Titan, 2400 W on the Bluetti. Both are OK. I'd like to see much higher if at all possible, but 400 extra watts helps if you have an array with a potential of 3500 W at peak sunlight
BUT.....another data point.....The Titan is rated at 3000 W output but has a PEAK output of 6000W whereas the Bluetti shuts down in your own video at slightly above 3000W. So I see a slight advantage on the Titan, for example when something pulls a bunch of Amps on startup...a compressor, whatever.
AC chargers are important, but in a long time grid down situation, gas may be Unavailable (look at Texas last winter and more recently, Louisiana with IDA) and so will be the AC power availability in the home. This is why Solar Input and battery capacity to me are the TWO most important features.
I Really like what I see on this Bluetti unit but I need more info to justify a CLEAR ADVANTAGE.

    • @HOBOTECH
      @HOBOTECH  Před 2 lety +10

The Titan is so out of date it's not even funny. It's also way more expensive, and on a 6 month waiting list. They've had QC issues and delivery problems. As for specs, the Bluetti can be paired for 6000w inverter 12000w surge and 240v where the Titan can't. Titan uses NMC, Bluetti LFP. Paired supports 4800w solar and can charge 3000w vs 1450w of Titan! Bluetti >24kwh .. not sure what the battery limit is on the Titan but it would be so ungodly expensive and impossible to get their batteries so who cares. Titan had its day 3 years ago but today is a dinosaur.

This really helps!! Yes they have a waiting list and now I don't know why. BTW, the battery limit on the Titan is actually 8 batteries, but I seriously doubt anyone would buy that many. Yes, the Titan is expensive, but then, what other options have there been over the last three years with these types of performance specs? Nothing came close to output or Solar input. Most solar generators were in hundreds of watts versus thousands. Fine if you want to charge your cell phone and a couple of LED lights, but worthless if you want to keep your refrigerator and freezer running as well as running a few other creature comforts

Nice! Real nice! With a system like this I can not understand why this unit is not set up to start and stop a remote control generator. Ecoflow tried to address this issue, however using a propritory generator was, I think, a mistake. Ecoflow is now putting out a generator that is a camping size unit to charge a house size power system and they had to become a generator manufacturing concern to do it. There is a vast array of remote start generators already on the market. So stop trying to reinvent the wheel with in house generators like Ecoflow Delta is attempting to do. Bluetti, please just add a remote generator start and stop capability to your line of solar generators. Everyone has their own preference of generators, one size does not fit all like Ecoflow believes. I want the Bluetti to start my 4250 watt generator, my neighbor uses a 6500 watt generator. Don't try to reinvent the generator, just start it for me when the batteries need recharged and the sun isn't shining.

Professor Hobo, long time viewer and first time commenter. Your camera was hunting focus a bit too much. You should stop the lens down to maintain a deeper depth of field so the unit’s menu screen and your hand/face are both in focus.

It was at F8. It's not "hunting" it is trying to focus on my hands. I'm going to try manual focus for those shots in the future.

Australia isn't even getting the AC200 max until next year, so this will be out in 2030 here 😝

    Very nice,
Now Bule needs to make a gas genarater, that works like Echoflows(sp?), but without the cell phone interface.
Larger gas tank, quiet, auto on\off, and don't do the order now bit. (Get them out at a reasonable price)

Is it safe to say that bluletti is the best out there? Have you tried and usa made products that you liked? Love this channel

Something I dont think I have ever heard you mention is about how shock resistant these products are. My fiancé and I use Jackery 500 explorer and we go off road to our favorite spot near our home. I was curious as to more info on that whether it harms the units to bounce around down logging roads or not?

    • @HOBOTECH
      @HOBOTECH  Před 2 lety +2

I would set this unit on an anti vibration mat if you were going on rough roads. Same with just about any 12v fridge.

The molded polyurethane foam in the box it comes in could be repurposed as a shock absorbing base. If it can survive UPS, it can survive anything!

Why couldn't Bluetti design something compact that combines the two units. I would be lugging around two heavy boxes.

you can easily fit the entire system in a backpack. It’s rather small.

Hello--question about a cart. I think you mentioned that Bluetti had offered a cart on the 200 (?during crowd funding stage). Do you know the specs on this? If I buy a cart do I have to be concerned about metal platform vs rubber ? Is a regular metal one OK or would a baggage one with more rubber matter? Any grounding issues I need to be aware of?

That 72% inverter efficiency at 800 watts though. Yikes

  • @user-jy4ix7dj7p

Pretty poor efficiency for "smart" batteries. I was expecting around 85% efficiency at the least. Cancelling my pre-order.

Agreed. It’s totally awful. These reviews now look like paid advertising for the product because they missed the most important part and gloss over it like it’s no big deal. You’re wasting a whopping 860Wh per battery. That’s over a 1/4 of the capacity just completely wasted. I was in the market for a solar generator system for my home but I may wait for ecoflow delta pro in retail.

We can't do codes for every combo. You can do two purchases with two different codes to get the Charging Enhancer separate.

Install them in a room with sheet metal on the walls, ceiling, & floor & a ground wire to the sheet metal. There is hardware cloth/ expanded metal you might consider, but there may be some pulses that get through the gaps.

Hi Tom. Allways great. But I miss you getting out on the road once in a while. Since I'm a Roadtreker, especially in your Roadtrek. And I miss seeing Oden walking through from time to time. I was hoping you might come up with more RV mods? AL

I poured over $20k into that van in 4 years so I'm no longer modding. Might actually sell it. I went on many trips this year but this hasn't been a vlog channel over 2 years now.
