    If i.e. is glow in the dark paint should I do it before I varnish or after

    • @StudioR12Stencils
      @StudioR12Stencils  Před rokem +1

      Hi Linda! We have actually never varnished over glow in the dark paint before, so we are not sure if the varnish would impact the glowing. Every time we have done glow in the dark, we have left it unvarnished. If you try it and varnish over, please let us know how it works!

      We have this stencil in a 4 foot or 6 foot option. We hang our large stencils. You can use a curtain rod and plastic J hooks (we get them from Amazon). Or you could hang them right in your closet. They can also be stored flat underneath a bed!

      We use acrylic paints. We don't have one source right now. We are working on getting one source, so that we can share that. Right now, we recommend using a good acrylic paint! :)

    What brand paint or type of paint is being used. Is this like acrylic paint deco art or house paint?

    • @StudioR12Stencils
      @StudioR12Stencils  Před 10 měsíci

      For this project, we are using Sherwin Williams Indoor/Outdoor Acrylic Latex Satin Paint. We get them in the 29.5oz sample containers. We paint A LOT and found that buying in bulk was beneficial for us, especially for colors we use a lot and when we are planning to paint tall porch signs that take a lot of paint.
      We do have and use DecoArt as well.

    What kind of stain and what color was used? Looked more like paint than a wood stain when it was poured from the bottle.

    Hello maybe I missed it, but where can I get the stencil brushes from? And what do you consider a good acrylic paint? Thanks

    • @StudioR12Stencils
      @StudioR12Stencils  Před 2 lety

      Hi! You can get the dome brushes from StudioR12. Here is the link: studior12.com/collections/youre-stronger-than-you-know/products/dome-stencil-brush-set-swirl-stipple-scumble?_pos=1&_sid=456d56b35&_ss=r
      When it comes to paint, you can get your acrylic paint from any craft store. We don't recommend the cheapest paint - it typically is a little runnier and can increase bleeding under.
