Import of Currency is BAN on India, And for import of Silver and GOLD we have to pay 30-45% of custom Duty on order value
Once I Ordered from The Royal Mint, and Paid alot of custom duty on that due to sellers mistake.
Well, if you bought directly from the Royal Mint then for sure you would’ve been penalised pretty badly. This is because they intimate the authorities in India as its through proper channels. Via ebay or the dealer directly this is not the case when it comes to import duty.

Bro I recently received Captain America Shield 1oz coin from Crown mint. And I had to pay like Rs.4161 as custom duty for a Rs.8k coin and if we consider all shipping and bank charges for exchange it cost me around Rs.14,564. Not worth buying expensive coins from foreign. It gave me heart attack when the post man said that u have to pay Rs.4161 as custom duty.
Where did you buy it from? Aurinum? Who was the courier partner abroad and in India?

@@IndianBullionaire I have one doubt. How many coins will attract duty? Like my grand father is coming to India from USA and want to buy only 1 Britannia 2023 coin so it will attract any duty if carried in a wallet?

I have never heard about crownmint, but if they make their own products then you shouldn’t be buying directly from them as the risk of getting caught in customs is higher since it goes through the channel as bullion instead of collectibles. There is a reason I have never ordered directly from let’s say Royal Mint UK or US Mint! As I have said in multiple videos, if the content in your package is well above ₹5,000 then you will most likely be stuck with customs duty. Completely normal.
