I try so hard usually to stay off the prerelease hype-wagons for games for more than one unforgettable heartbreaks... but Xeno hasn't let me down yet and I'm hearing fairly good things everywhere. Tough not to get sucked into it... xD I share your pain and jealousy I have to wait too!
I didn’t get into the series until 2 and I loved it. For whatever reason XCDE didn’t grab me but I admit I only gave it a few hours before moving on. I’m super excited for 3 but I don’t think I’ll ever be as hyped as I was for the switch and BotW.
I’m stoked about BotW 2 but waiting for the new console and Zelda same day, I don’t think that’ll ever be topped for me personally.

I’m so glad that I discovered the series with the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive edition, which I did not had the time for when it released but I am about only 10 hours in so far and really enjoying it. The fact that I still have a sequel left after this one and the third game as well really makes me happy. Playing through an awesome franchise without having to wait for new releases is quite amazing
Tell me about it.. I’ve had Xenogears in my collection for over 2 decades not to mention apparently I’ll have the full Xenoblade quadrilogy with this new one very soon.. The only negative I can see being a fan is time constraints..
a sequel and a half, really. the Torna DLC is pretty long
@@harrylane4 I bought it as a stand-alone game.. But again hadn’t gotten to it yet.. I’m lucky I got through almost 7 of the oft compared Trails titles.. Just gotta work on Sky 3 next..
Xenoblade 2 is not a sequel to the first game. It's a different story with different characters in a different world.
@@Elvenlijk its not a direct sequel but its still a sequel 2 still shares characters concepts and a greater setting with the first game.
I am so excited for this game its insane! Monolith soft really pushed themselves this time by taking the best from all their previous entries. Can't wait for the game.

This is shaping up to be absolutely incredible. It seems like the best parts of 1, 2, and even X with some awesome new ideas mixed in. I love this more unapologetically dark tone, and after seeing this gameplay I’m now finally recognizing how much *style* it’s just absolutely dripping with. I seriously can’t wait. Well, I guess I can, since I bought that special edition knowing full well Nintendo ain’t shipping it to me for at least a week post-launch, but still!

@@yoyomama99 Yeah as @Marker Crayon said, the devs have been quoted as saying that this game is far more open world and has exploration mechanically similar to X. You can even see a few different vehicles throughout the trailers, although it’s unclear if any will be quite as awesome as the Skells yet.
@@dachking6657 The Skells weren't the best part of X's exploration, it was the analog big jump platforming and mountain goating combined with extremely vertical map design. I doubt any of that will be in 3.

God I'm so jealous. Skipped almost all of this video to keep the intro as much a secret to me as possible, but this is my favourite series of all time and hearing that this might be the very best game in the series is just amazing too me the 29th cannot come soon enough

I've been a huge Takahashi fan since the beginning. I honestly can't wait for this game, I binged XBC1:DE and XBC2 just recently and I can say my body is ready lol. I can't wait to see the world and dabble with the new mechanics in the game. I'm also excited for the hero system. I just hope they made the map less confusing and more clear to read it. I hated not knowing what layer of the map a quest was on because of the map lol

God, I love this series so damn much and I'm sure this one will have another stunning music score like the others. One of Nintendo's greatest decisions was buying Monolith Soft allowing them the complete freedom to fulfill their vision in creating this masterpiece series :-)

Can you tell me one thing about the combat: Is it still necassary to "cancel" your auto attacks with a little movement to attack faster in the end and to faster get your arts ready? Like in Xeno 2?
It looks thats the case. Yeah!
actually in other footage it's been shown that doesn't exist for agnus classes. even if you move a little, it doesn't reset the 3 auto attack combo.
Agnian classes' arts reset on a timer instead of hits, and it looks to me like stutter stepping isn't a thing anymore, but you were a coward if you used it in the first place anyway
Yeah I just looked and go to 5:15 and you will see the player controlling eunie and she waits for a second after stopping moving to do an attack

Soooo excited. Have been a huge Monolithsoft fan since Baten Kairos, and Xenoblade since day 1, up to this point it's my favourite game of all time. Will be interesting to see if this can topple it, but either way I'm so happy to hear it's being so well received
Honestly the Xenoblade Chronicles Series has to be one of the best JRPG series I’ve ever played especially story n emotion wise these games hit every note you need
I just noticed on the eShop product page that there is no mention of surround sound. Does XC3 not support this? XC1:DE and XC2 did.
Xenoblade Chronicles II was my first try at a Xenoblade game and I absolutely loved it. One of my biggest gripes of II however was that you didn't have as much control over your other party members and had no control if you wanted to pursue a particular blade combo. Knowing that we can swap members out at will or take control of any of the on screen heroes makes me so very very happy and I can't wait for its release.
you set them up so they'll use the combos you want, really
xenoblade 2's combat was so fun (if you understood it) that I consider it the gaming crack of jrpgs

@@escapetherace1943 XBC2's combat is excellent once you start getting a good variety of blades and build the crazy element and driver combos. Not to mention the ability to cancel auto-attacks into arts, then cancel arts into other arts. It's so addicting haha. I'm very much looking forward to being able to swap between different characters during battle in 3.

Returning Xenoblade fan here can't wait for this game. So hyped but been trying to avoid any and all spoilers this is probably the first thing I've seen since the trailer that announced the release date.

Played every xenoblade game at launch. Haven't gotten a chance to play the older xenogears / saga yet, but I'm hyped as hell for this next adventure.
Do I need to play the previous 2 games to understand what is going on with the story? Just that I’m new to the series and I don’t think I’ll have the time to play the last games before this comes out. (though I would like to eventually).

Day 1 purchase for me. I've really enjoyed all of the other XC games. Hoping for a locked 720p/30fps in handheld cause that's how I'll be primarily playing it.
Bro if you have a moded switch there is a 60fps cheat for XC3 i have tested it on my switch max 45-60 FPS with max overclock with sysclock
So excited for this game! I have finished XC2, XC2:Torna and just tonight I've finished XC:DE. Hopefully I've got enough time between now and 29 July to finish Future Connected as well. The new game looks so polished I can't wait to get into it. Here's hoping we get a port of XCX on the Switch at some point in the future too!

I’m replaying XC1 on switch in anticipation after playing it on Wii & 3DS. Played XCX but for some reason XC2 didn’t appeal to me but XC3 looks true to form and the best yet. Can’t wait to get into it.
Can you tell us if we have to deal with field skill requirements like Xenoblade Chronicles 2? If so, that might be a deal breaker for me, because I still haven’t beaten 2 all these years later thanks to the bullshit they pull with field skills starting at the last quarter of the game when you’re in that underground area while Pyra is kidnapped.
I'm just about to finish XCDE. Might play Torna before this. I'm excited to hear about switching characters during battle. I feel like that's going to be my favorite feature.
I also need to get around to playing Torna, luckily it's not as long as a normal XBC game, around 35 hours total (still fairly meaty, but not Xenoblade-meaty), so you could definitely start playing now and finish it well before XBC3 drops.
Every other Xenoblade game on the other hand usually takes around a whole month to finish if you're not rushing the story and do most of the side-quests.
@@twilighttiger2368 that's what I was thinking. Also the mechanics in Torna seem like they may be comparable to XBC3. I will say, though, it seems Torna's story might resonate way more after playing 2.
How is the performance for handheld.
Is the visual reduced greatly like xeno 2.
Or its not much different from when playing it docked.
A reply from the preview's author on the NintendoLife site suggests that "Handheld has been perfect so far, picture clarity is also much sharper than 2, it's just a more technically impressive game all around."

So hyped for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I got the Special Edition, and I have played Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and their side stories and 100% them.
I've have unsuccessfully tried to pre order the collector's edition of xenoblade 3. Enjoy it.

Y'know, I was thinking that a lot of the voice work I've heard thus far sounded conspicuously similar to the stuff in Elden Ring. When I heard Gray's line, I thought to myself "Sounds like this guy got lost on the way to the Roundtable Hold". I'm loving everything I've seen up to this point.
@@kristoffernichols268 something that I only realised this year as I was playing through all of the souls games fully for the first time was the amount of overlap that it shares with some xenoblade actors, Alvis voices someone in each game from ds1-3, fiora voices at least 2 people in ds2, and xord’s va is maliketh er. You can see a similar overlap in a lot of the actors featuring in ff14 too
i cannot wait to play this game at the end of the month, huge fan of xbc1 and 2, i wonder what kind of nostalgia and feels this will bring to the table
You could command allies to attack a specific unit and you could change you character in the field too before. In-battle swaps is the only new feature in that set.

@@asprinjuice8877 I doubt it. But perhaps this one is just like a tutorial to help us learn about heroes earlier on. Like "hey keep an eye out for these unique npcs you can recruit." If Mwamba does die, then I guess we will get a hero with a similar class/upgraded version

I just went back and completed XC1 since XC3 supposedly ties 1 & 2 together.
Project Rainfall was basically *Project GIVE US XENOBLADE*
Easily the most imaginative worlds brought to us by a game developer. Even back when the Wii struggled to stay relevant in an HD era there was no denying the beauty the first game brought to the table and still holds up to this day.
I am so glad that I've caught up with the series, and the lore thus far. I cannot wait to sink my fingers into the world of Aionios.
I am curious if the navigation aids have been improved
Looking forward to this though never really been a fan of combat transformations. I hope they come up with a new gimmick for the next Xenoblade. Based on previous entrees though they seem to like experimenting with certain features so there’s a good chance.
I was only slightly into 1 and 2, played about 35 hours between the two but couldn't stick with either. Just wasn't doing it for me, something was missing/off.
This is gonna check all the boxes and I'm SO hyped for it!

Never finished xenoblade 2 due to the slow start to the story and generic character tropes. Do you think I need to play that game or can I just jump in with just having played xenoblade 1.
I’ve preordered the base game in preparation for this (also plan to get Digimon Survive as well). Just need to finish my playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 first (real close now).

The story reminds me a bit of Tales of Arise. Farming the energy from human beings for mashines fighting a greater battle.
Also the two races is another parallel from ToA.
I loved Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and finished it 3 times. I enjoyed every second of the game and the story was just amazing.
The scenery is just great and it looks like Xenoblade 3 will also be a great game to play

I've played every entry in the Xenoblade series. I love all of them, but Xenpblade 2 has always been the clear winner for me. It's my number 1 favourite game of all time. XC3's going to have a lot to live up to, but I'm confident Monolith and Takahashi can pull it off.

@@metastase895 Why you hate xc2? It was a great game with the superior gameplay although it may have bad tutorials and story may not be quite as good compared to xc1 but it's character development was very good and the characters had more purpose to the story which helped draw me into the world. Torna is what really sold xc2 as being my favorite as that massively added to the experience and I don't think any previous xeno game can top Torna for lots of people.

it has felt so long since i restarted and finished xenoblade 2 out of pandemic boredom in 2020, in turn putting me on to this series. i am so fucking ready for 3.

I've never played Xenoblade and when I tried to get 2 it was selling for like £70 second hand. Looks like this one will be definitely worth a shot so will get it when it's still in shops!
I’m not a die hard fan of the series, never finished 1 or 2 but I’m really excited for this one! Gameplay looks so smooth and awesome while the game looks sooo beautiful! I just hope they bring back the customization of Xenoblade 1 … really liked the “transmog” system as it is really rare to have gear and loot that changes the looks for your characters in JRPGs really enjoyed making my party look distinguished. Hope they added that to the game, but even then a must buy for me!

I be only played the first one on the Wii and I finally have a switch now, so this along with Splatoon 3 will be my first experience buying a game as soon as it comes out. Yay
So hype for this. Have about 600 hours between XBC:DE and XBC2, and been a huge fan of the Xeno franchise since Xenogears way back on the PSX.
Still waiting for that XBCX remaster though, and although it's probably never going to happen, a Xenosaga trilogy remaster would be pretty nifty too

Apparently it has a significant downgrade in handheld, but not as big as in xeno 2
I absolutely cannot WAIT to play this game, and to hear its living up to your expectation makes me all the more excited. But yeah, Xenoblade 3 looks absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to wish the outdoors goodbye when it releases.

Can someone tell me point blank if the game is seamless open world or has loading screens? Im not talking about unlocking new areas with cutscenes or whatever. Thats fine. After unlocking the zone, can I move to all the previous areas on foot without loading screens. If that is the case, then It is going to be game changer for me :)
Not open world, plenty of loading zones. Bigger aress than the first two games but still segmented.

I’m not the biggest xenoblade fan but definitely did enjoy the first one(didn’t care for the final main villain though as it felt too much like an anime) but this 3rd game looks like it’ll probably be the best in the series

Ive played through Xenoblade 1,2 i loved the 1st one and got kinda burned out after the finishing up the 2nd game, this however got me more inclined to maybe buy this when it comes out it sounds interesting so far, i just hope i enjoy the battle system Zion is describing here and that the story intertwines in a good way.

I am currently actually trying to finish xenoblade chronicles 2 so if I haven't finished by the time the game comes I am not playing it on launch day that is going to be tough , I hope the villains are better than torna only one of them feels like a threat so far and I hate that

You should be good. Theres references to past characters but for the most part Xenoblade 3 follows a new cast in a different world.

Does anyone know if monolith used FSR tech on this game? Just curious, I mean this game just looks amazing.
They did not. FSR is a AMD tech and the switch has an Nvidia chipset.
@@KVR020 that is irrelevant as they have already used FSR tech on switch games because FSR is an open source code that can be implemented on switch. Give me a minute and I'll find the link.

I'm glad to see that the tutorial is there, XBC2 had in my opinion a realitively bad tutorial. But here's to hoping that the untold "stagger" auto attacks are in the 3rd entry I'd love to max the dps while swapping from character to character
