FIGHT OF THE CENTURY! LESTER ELLIS VS BARRY MICHAEL - FULL FIGHT

The Australian Fight of the Century, fought between Lester Ellis and Barry Michael stands out as a brutal battle between friends turned rivals, and to this day stands out as the greatest Australian fight of all time.
The bout was contested on July 12th, 1985, for Ellis' IBF Junior Lightweight World Title at Festival Hall in Melbourne, Victoria.

Barry Michael couldn't draw flies, but he got over the top of Ellis in this fight. Ellis was not mature enough to take on the an old war horse like Michael . Ellis was such a talent and could bang with both hands. He had it all but maybe had that one weakness . Not long after dethroning Ellis, Michael took on Rocky Lockridge and got a terrible hiding never to fight again
