    I love Inktense so much! The 24 set has some great colours by the looks of it. I love your artworks, the robin is awesome and the narwhals are so cute! They’re such fascinating creatures.

      Thank you! And inktense has really impressed me so far. Narwhals are one of those creatures that seem mythical to me, even though I know they technically exist😆

      There's an extra bluish color in the tin, wish they provided the same in the pencils set, it's a pretty steel or greenish dark blue. And outliner pencil is useless apart from defining darker outlines, just another buttery smooth water proof graphite pencil, another CZcamsr had posted abt it it .

    This is the best demo of Inktense pencils! I do not do coloring so its been hard finding a demo of actual artwork like you show here. Thank you!

    A few tips for the Inktense.
    Always wet from lighter area to heavier pigment. If you completely melt all the pigment then it’s not liftable when dry and will be permanent. If all the pigment isn’t dissolved thats when it’ll lift or move when adding water or another color. The Outliner shouldn’t be water soluble, its there if you want to sketch or “outline” without water dissolving or washing away your lines.

      You totally right. Water always from light to dark.

    • @AlexisCassandraArt
      @AlexisCassandraArt  Před rokem +1

      I’ll remember to go from lighter to darker areas now! I have to be careful with these. There isn’t much room for error. Thank you for your tips:)

    I have the 72 pencil set but it's really 71 with the outliner. The white is very opache especially after activating and drying. I seldom use the outliner.
    I loved them so much I bought the 72 block set which comes with an extra purple colour as there is no outliner & they are gorgeous and they go down to $100 Australian and I do not regret purchasing them, especially with the extra colour that doesn't come in the pencil set. Loved your video. Much love & *Virtual hugs* from Australia xxx

      The outliner definitely annoyed me!! But I’d like to have a bigger set for sure one day I think. I enjoyed using these a lot more than I thought. The block set might be nice to have alongside also👀 thanks for watching!❤️

      Funny, but i definitely understand how that shape is better to keep pencils from rolling

    It's like using ballpoint but an a wet version, no erasures nor lifting of the pigments.

    Hello. Thanks. Not sure you mentioned how they compare to the Albrecht Durer? I have not done watercolor before, so not sure what I want or need to know. But I'm sure you could tell me in a follow up video comparing Inktense, Albrecht Durer and normal watercolor!!

    • @AlexisCassandraArt
      @AlexisCassandraArt  Před rokem +1

      Once I familiarize myself with them, I'm sure I could compare them to albrecht durer and museum aquarelles! But basically, since inktense is water soluble ink, its permanent like a dye and behaves differently. It stains so you can't reactivate them. Whereas albrecht durer are watercolor pencils so you can still reactivate them once they dry. Plus, they're more translucent.

    You mentioned Indigo and that is one of my favourite colours. Its so great for shading and darkening areas and I probably use it similar to Paynes grey too. It will be the first pencil I wear down I think. I have the 72 set and I also have the outline pencil. I only found out recently from someone else's video, that there is a colour in the blocks that isn't in the pencils, because the pencils always have the outliner (blocks have 72 colours and pencils have 71). I also wish I had that extra pencil and colour.

    • @AlexisCassandraArt
      @AlexisCassandraArt  Před rokem

      Indigo and Payne’s grey are both amazing pencils. Now I wish I had the larger set, but I think for now I’ll just see how much I use the 24 set before I buy more! I’m jealous if the extra block color- can’t the outliner pencil just come extra?😪

    Lovely paintings. I have some inktense pencils and I don’t think I’ve used them since 2021 😮! I think I stopped using them because I couldn’t completely eradicate the pencil lines.

    Here's an idea that you should give a shot. How would you protect work that is made from pencil, graphite and other mediums that can smudge? I tend to draw with pencil and graphite and I found this clear vinyl that I lay over the paper to protect the drawing when I'm finished. Unfortunately,this clear vinyl has a tendency to highlight mistakes that Ive tried to erase and makes my shading look unsmooth. What do you think you can use to get the best results and not highlight imperfections when it comes to protecting graphite or pencil drawings?

    • @AlexisCassandraArt
      @AlexisCassandraArt  Před rokem

      That's smart- I have a fixative spray that I don't really use often unless I am selling work. I have some wax paper I like to keep over artwork to store so they don't smudge as well. Maybe a workable fixative? So that you could still work over the top if you'd like to, but it fixes the layer underneath, or you can fix one section at a time to prevent smudging. I know winsor and newton has one, but I haven't tried it yet

    • @TheDcrocks1
      @TheDcrocks1 Před rokem

      @@AlexisCassandraArt I've used the fixative spray before and it did protect the art work. I just dint like that it warped the paper. I don't use very thick paper. I think the sketch books that I have now are at 60lbs, I can't remember. But thanks for the response.

    • @AlexisCassandraArt
      @AlexisCassandraArt  Před rokem +1

      @@TheDcrocks1 I agree, it’s hard with the paper warping. I have just continued to place wax paper over the art when storing it!!
